I have 20 Kindergarten students and they are a high energy bunch. Most of them like to move around much of the day and they are very engaged by music and manipulatives. They attend a large Title 1 Public School in an urban neighborhood, with 600 students. Many of my students lack resources at home to ensure their academic success at school, although their parents want them to succeed. As a class they are curious, smart, and they love to learn. Some of them are still only four years old and they are learning social skills through play.
