Light It Up!
Funded May 24, 2024Thanks to your contribution, my 5th grade students were able use the stopwatches to measure time. They used the graduated cylinders to measure liquids and the thermometers to measure water temperature. Since the 5th grade students were required to complete several Science Investigations, I am confident in their success, after gaining experience and knowledge using these scientific tools.
My students and I were so grateful to hear that someone had donated all the science materials needed to complete this investigation. Their happy faces were brighter than usual when we opened the boxes.
Soon after completing the Science Investigation, my 5th grade students were required to take the State Science Test. As previously mentioned, I am confident my students had the needed experience to understand how to measure different matter using the appropriate tools.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Montalvo

Tools of the Trade!
Funded Dec 24, 2014I can't fully express my excitement, and thanks for your donation to my project. It is great to see that you cared about my project as much as I care about my students.
My students are elated at the fact that they now have new headphones to use on the different technology devices in our class. The wireless headphones on the listening center are so convenient and manageable. Students are very excited to sit at the listening center without having to get tangled up in wires (I am too!).
Since our school has limited resources available, without donors like you our class would have not benefited from these valuable devices. Considering headphones are necessary tools, students would not be able to use the technology devices available in our class. With the headphones groups of students actively engage in independent learning tasks that have been tailored to their needs as I work with another group of students.
My students enjoy using the technology in our classroom and these accessories now make it accessible!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Montalvo
Great Readers Need a Variety of Leveled Books
Funded Nov 15, 2012I am deeply touched by the generous donation of leveled books for my classroom. The variety of books donated to my class continue to inspire my students. During independent reading time students enjoy these new books. We use the books everyday. My students have progressively developed stronger reading strategies since receiving the books.
Our school has limited resources available. Without donors like you our class would have not benefited from these valuable resources. Allowing children to experience the joy of reading a new book is priceless!”
