Calming Area
Funded Apr 3, 2023My little students were excited when they saw a big box delivered to the classroom and immediately asked "Mrs. Huston what's that?" "Wow what big box, what's inside?" I then explained what was inside by showing them as I pulled one by one everything out they were ready to play!
The students are using the new materials in the areas of choose and some of the materials are in our cozy corner for those who are developing how to calm their emotions through your the day if needed it's a great experience to watch them regulate and calm their feelings in a pleasant more positive way in the classroom.
Here is a sneak preview of them using the materials with others and independently.”

This classroom project was brought to life by PNC Grow Up Great®.Exploring and Learning Math With a Scientific Twist
Funded Jun 22, 2022I am excited to announce that the resources the classroom received is extremely appreciated because the children immediate asked what's in the box? I began to open the box and pull out each item and the excitement was overwhelming with claps, hoorays, and joy!
The resources are being used in our learning areas such as the science area and math area. the children are able to show their knowledge and skill in counting, measuring and learning how to experiment with many new ideas! The children are enjoying comparing numbers and weighing everything they can imagine.
Our next steps will be to help one another and new students who will enter the classroom to join in on the fun of a new twist in a scientific movement while learning through play experiences. We can't wait until our building theme begins to really show off! Once again Thank you so much!”

Funded Nov 10, 2021The children were so excited after Thanksgiving to see the new materials in the classroom. to see their faces and hear the questions "What is that!, is that for us!, can we play with it teacher! was an amazing feeling to answer all the question by saying Yes, Yes and YES!
Theses materials has helped my classroom students in exploring more with hands on operations and how to match and associate the buildings with vehicles and to understand how our world around them works in our communities with a positive reinforcement through learning while playing, The blockage they once had for building blocks has changed dramatically from once a boys area to both boys and girls learning to utilize the materials in a fun and productive way. To see the boys learn how to decorate a home with household items in the doll house has proven that without materials in the classroom, educators will not have the full expectations of student learning and teachers teaching the whole child if it had not been for the generous people supporting and donating to this great cause of preschool learning.
The next steps is to continue to add to the block area more materials and watch their creativity in becoming interested to someday they will design buildings, skyscrapers as they move into how an Architect makes plans and take from paper to reality.”

Funded Dec 4, 2018It gives me great joy and pride! to share with you how much fun and excitement the children are having with the new materials we have received from your generosity and kind hearts. Today was the day I decided to surprise the children😀after waiting for the painters to complete our classroom of some improvements.
The children and staff came into class and saw the new materials especially the cozy couch and table everyone looked surprised yelling and screaming about what they saw, it was amazing! to see their faces light up like Christmas was here once more and again, the children began to play and enjoy themselves with the hats, the girls grabbed the babies and the bottles and pretended to be mothers and nurture, feed, and cover the babies with blankets and placed the babies down to sleep. 2-4 year olds really know how to pretend to be big like parents.
The children were really impacted by your love and kindness, This project allowed me to share with them, Dreams Do Come True when we wish, hope, and believe that if we work hard towards our goal we can achieve anything if we just believe in our hearts, any and everything is possible! We take this time to salute our donors for all you've done to make this dream a reality!💜”

This classroom project was brought to life by An anonymous donor and 14 other donors. The Magical Exploration of Preschoolers Learning Math
Funded Sep 13, 2012My heart is filled with so much gratitude and appreciation for your generous donation to my classroom. The math materials you have donated towards "The Magical Exploration of Preschoolers Learning Math/ Skill Builders" has impacted the children in a way that they are requesting to play with the transparent counting chips, the cookie game, color unifix cubes and really learning how to manipulate through math and enjoying to solve simple math problems while enhancing their thinking process cognitively.
It gives me such a joyful feeling as a teacher to observe the children interacting with one another in math, as they play and learn new math concepts.
The children are demonstrating more independence of exploring new and innovative ways of problem solving independently and learning to think outside of the box. Without caring donors like you, millions of classroom filled with children are going without much needed materials to learn effectively. Thank you again.”
