  • Calm Corner Part 2

    Thank you all so much for helping me complete my calm corner! All these little extras really go such a long way for all my students. These items are more than tangible, they are proof to my students that others genuinely care for them. It takes a special person such as yourself to donate to children that you'll never meet.   • Calm Corner

    Thank you so so much for helping me create what I believe to be a crucial resource for my students. A calm corner is just that - a safe space for students to self-soothe and regulate their emotions. Countless times this school year I have had "elopers" run into my classroom and go straight to the calm corner to relax and collect themselves. It can be stressful and scary when students run out or elope from class without adults knowing where they are. Now that I have my calm corner up and running, I have advised teachers and admin to use this area at the need of their students. Thank you all for helping me provide my school and students with this much needed calm corner.”

  • 4th Street PC Weekly Raffle Prizes

    Thank you so much for your donation! You all didn't just purchase prizes for our weekly raffle, you brought "Fun Friday" to life! Students are so excited to come to school, especially now on Fridays, which is a huge deal! Typically Mondays and Fridays are the days that students miss the most, however with your donations, my students arrive to school happy and eager for the day. I have students talking to me all day about our weekly raffle - from "who's the winner?" to "I hope it's me!" my students are unbelievably delighted to come to school and participate in our Fun Fridays. Thank you again!”

  • Holiday Spirit Incentives

    Thank you all so much once again for your donation to my students. Working at three different school sites definitely comes with multiple challenges and obstacles. It can be very difficult to plan and execute milestone day celebrations, spirit weeks, or other celebratory events for my students. It would be much easier to host smaller activities for my students, however planning fun events to incentivize my students is something that I did not want to eliminate. Holidays, milestone days, and spirit weeks are essential in boosting student and staff morale, which by extension boosts attendance rates as well. I want to continue to make school a fun place where all students feel safe, celebrated, and welcomed. Thank you for making this dream a reality.”

  • Social Emotional Tools

    I cannot express the gratitude that I have for you all. By providing me with these essential social emotional tools and resources, you have not only set me up for success but have also given vital support to my students. It is critical even for our young people to learn how to be emotionally responsible. Children who are emotionally mature and empathetic grow into adults who know how to regulate their emotions as well as take accountability for their actions/feelings.

    With these tools, I have been able to hold several individual and group counseling sessions. As we progress throughout the school year I am confident that I will be able to support all of my students, no matter their circumstances. I cannot say this enough: thank you all again!”

  • Milestone Day School-Wide Celebrations

    Thank you once again for your generous donation to my project. I am planning on using the supplies I received for the first time next Wednesday, September 20th as that marks our 25th day of school!

    I am so excited to set up the balloon arch for my students! They always get so excited to come to school when they see balloons and banners up. It may seem like a simple or small action, however I always make sure to emphasize to my students that we are celebrating them. Without my students, the schools they attend wouldn't exist. Because of this, I make sure that I go out of my way to make them feel as special and important as they are.
