We learn with fun activities about the ancient world to inspire students to become active citizens and to avoid mistakes of the past. We use interactive activities- simulations, digital resources, movement, music, discussions and field trips to engage and help students learn. Students practice thinking critically to enhance their decision making. We do all of this without Social Studies textbooks in sixth grade. I want my students to become tolerant, empathetic and appreciative towards their peers to help us grow culturally within our classroom.
