  • Colors of the World!

    Funded Mar 2, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our project, "Colors of the World." The art materials have been an incredible benefit to our classroom! We have used them for many different projects. The "Crayola Color of the World" markers and colored pencils have allowed us to fill our classroom with art that reflects the students in the room. We have been able to converse about what makes people unique and different. My students take excellent care of the materials, which illustrates how important they are to them. The materials have been influential in ensuring that each child in my diverse group of students feels represented and proud of their skin!

Your support and generosity mean the world to us! Thank you again for making this project happen.”

  • I See ME in Books!

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

Representation matters! Students need to see books that spotlight characters who look like them, explain and represent their beliefs, show their cultural practices, and honor their diversity. These books have increased diverse representation in my classroom library and allow my students greater access to high-quality books with diverse characters. Students can now see themselves and their stories represented in the books we read.

Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and support of this project.”

  • Lego Creations in Kindergarten!

    Funded May 8, 2019

I wish you all could have been in the classroom when I unveiled our new sets of Lego Blocks. The children were so excited. I was proud to be able to tell them how we were able to obtain them through the generosity of others! It's been awesome to watch them build and see what their young, creative minds can come up with! The mini-figures, animals, and props included in these sets have encouraged open-ended, cooperative storytelling. They have begun to write stories about their creations. The amount of details in their stories is fantastic. They also created their own Beyblades. They were figuring out which Lego pieces made just the right Beyblades to spun the fastest and how big they could build them.

Thank you again for giving to our classroom project, Building Creativity with Lego Blocks!”

  • Headphones for Kindergarteners!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for your donation towards our project "Headphones for Kindergarteners!" My students have been so excited to use the headphones. Having a set of headphones enables them to all be on the same program or each utilizing a different one and, no one is being distracted by the program their classmate is using. My students love to use the various apps on our iPads, and the headphones have enabled them to get the most out of the technology available. It also allows me to work with groups of students and not have to stop my instruction to fix the headphones. The headphones have been such a beneficial addition to our classroom, and we can't thank you enough for your generous donation!”

  • iPad Fun in Kindergarten!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you for your generous donations to our project 'iPad Fun in Kindergarten!'

My students have truly enjoyed having the iPad integrated into our curriculum. During our literacy centers, they utilize apps that focus on letter recognition, handwriting, rhyming, beginning sounds, sight words and reading comprehension. In math stations, they are able to use a variety of fun and interactive math apps to develop one to one correspondence, number recognition, patterning, shape recognition and addition skills. The iPad allow me to differentiate my instruction for those that need practice and reinforcement to those that need to be challenged and extensions for them. I love seeing them get excited when they pass a level or tell me they have mastered a lesson!

Thank you again for your contribution and for making a positive difference in young lives!”

    Funded Oct 19, 2017

Thank you so much for your donation to our project "We Love Elephant and Piggie!" My students love these books. They have been reading and rereading the stories with enthusiasm. When the Elephant and Piggie books are out, we cannot have "quiet reading" time, because all of the students are using such expression when they read! These books are fun, relatable and easy to read. The Elephant and Piggie series teaches kids how to be good friends, work together and love reading!

Thank you so much for contributing to the love of reading in our classroom!”
