  • Dollhouse for Pre-K Students

    Funded Oct 8, 2022

This new dollhouse has made my 3-4 years old students overly excited, curious, and eager to play with it. The dollhouse is an entirely new center in the block center area. We now have a dollhouse, coordinating furniture, and multiple 4-person families for use at the dollhouse. All of these items are sturdy, made of wood or plastic. Playing with doll house helps children mimic real life scenarios, they gradually learn valuable life and social skills such empathy, communication, and problem solving. Pretend play encourages organizational, classification, and fine motor skills. The dollhouse center has become one of the most popular centers in my Pre-K classroom. Students happily set up the furniture and create beautiful families. They gleefully act out scenarios. This type of dramatic play is an important way for young learners to express themselves. Your support made this possible. I am so thankful for your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.

  • Brilliant Minds at Play!

    Funded Dec 23, 2021

It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give toward Brilliant minds at Play. Thank you so much for making this project possible for my fantastic Pre-K students. They were very excited when I added the new materials to the dramatic play area and the other centers. Students at this age enjoy using hands-on materials to explore, use their imaginations, and interact with their peers in a fun and interesting way while they learn new things.

Again thank you for your donation. My students' faces lit up when the materials were shown to them. It is so kind and thoughtful of you to help me broaden their imagination and their minds with the community workers costumes and the math centers. The students are having a good time playing the roles of the community workers !”

  • A Picture Tells a Thousand Words!

    Funded May 24, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations towards our class with the printer and ink cartridges. When the printer arrived, the children were excited! I have to admit I was too! There are so many ways that the printer has been used in the classroom to enhance their learning. The printer has been used to print pictures to be use on share reading charts. The impact that this printer has on our classroom is immense! I now am able to print awesome teacher made items that I have purchased to help enrich and intervene the learning that is going on in my classroom. My Summer Rising Students enjoyed being able to print pictures for their work and projects. Students at this young age are visual learners and been able to print the pictures in color helps them to have a better understanding of what is happening in the picture. I have also been able to send student work, letters, and notes home in color. The convenience of having the color printer in our room alone is amazing! We cannot thank you enough! You have made such an impact on my teaching, my students, and their learning! YOU are amazing in our eyes! Thank you so much!"”

  • Capturing a Community with Digital Hands on Materials

    Funded Dec 29, 2020

It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give, toward capturing a Community with Digital Hands-on Materials. The students have gained a better understanding of how to use technology during our remote learning and with the use of the digital slides it has been a great resource that they have access to everyday and the students are feeling confident and developing academically in reading, writing, and math.

My students are very excited every time I present them with the google slides which we use during our whole class, small group, and independent work. My Kindergartners enjoy themselves during the work, the slides make it easy for them to complete the tasks in a fun way. I noticed that my students are more engaged during the lesson and their participation has increased during our live sections on Zoom.

Again, thank you for your donation. My student's faces light up when we use the slides! The smiles on their little faces are priceless and it makes me happy to watch them having fun while still learning during this unprecedented time. This has been a school year like no other, thank you for making it better for my students.”

  • Getting to Know the World Through Technology

    Funded Aug 13, 2020

I do not think "thank you" is enough to describe how much your contribution means to my students and I especially during these uncertain times. The laptop has brought my students together during our virtual lessons every day. It is great to be able to see all their smiling faces when I log in to zoom in the mornings. The students in my kindergarten class have been receiving virtual lessons since with are working remotely. The laptop has giving the mobility to be able to move to different sections of the room where I can share anchor charts and calendar for our morning meetings every day.

The students were very excited to know that this laptop was donated by a kindhearted person like you that cares about their education and was happy to help them learn more about the world and their surroundings through the use of the internet and videos. My students are looking forward to being able to explore the world and other new things when we return to our classroom once we resume our normal lifestyle and everyone can be safely at school. We appreciate your willingness to give so that our students can focus on learning and explore the world.”

  • Safety for the Students

    Funded Aug 13, 2020

I appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness in donating to my project to ensure that my students remain safe at school by helping me to provide them with baskets and zip lop bags to keep their individual supplies close to them. The storage bags and baskets are a way for the students to avoid having any close contact with each other while they are in class. I know that all students love to use the supplies that they bring from home. Keeping their own supplies next to them at all time makes it accessible to them and keeps other children from touching their materials.

At this time my students and I are working remotely but one thing that I can share with you is that my students were really excited when they learned that someone like cared about their health and their safety at school. I told them and showed them some of the

the supplies that we will be using as soon as we are back in the classroom and they were very excited. One of the items that they were mostly excited about was the round cushions which they will allow to use when they need find a soft comfortable to work and relax. Again, I want to thank you for your donation and my students cannot wait to start using the supplies when we go back to normal and resume having our daily lessons at school.”

  • Flexible Seating! Making Students Comfortable

    Funded Nov 2, 2019

I want to express my gratitude for giving my students various seating options in my Kindergarten class which has really transformed my classroom. When students are comfortable, they are productive and more deeper learning occurs naturally. It also makes the classroom feel more like a community, which produces a positive social culture as well.

I can't thank you enough for supporting my classroom vision and public education. We will continue to flex our brains in our new flexible seats!" I cannot wait to see how much it impacts student learning over the course of an entire kindergarten year! A student-centered classroom is the most positive, successful type of classroom!

Thank you so much for helping bring some flexible seating options to my classroom!”

  • Scientists at Work!

    Funded May 25, 2017

Thank you for supporting my class with your generous donation. My kindergarten students were jumping with emotions when I opened the boxes and saw the stem centers. The centers is helping my students extend their learning in a fun and exciting way by building their critical thinking and problem solving skills. My students need a lot of hands on experience to motivate them to concentrate and learn the subject. My students will develop their science skills and learn how to use tools for investigation and observation independently through the use of the centers.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. P.
