My school is located in a predominantly Latino area. It is an area where there are many disparities and inequalities. My students are in a school that is trying to change that and give them many different opportunities. The school focuses on making students think, build their character traits, create different projects, connect the natural world to every aspect of learning, and experience the world through field trips. My 2nd graders are an active bunch who love sharing their ideas, helping others, hungry for knowledge and challenges, and asking many questions! They love sharing how they solve problems and the many different ways they could solve them.
