  • Help Our Brains Grow With Technology!

    Funded May 9, 2023

Thank you so much for gifting us with this brand new ipad and case. We have some students that are brand new to our country and have been using this to communicate with us. This has been a tool that has been helping them become familiar with the English language. Another thing we have been using this ipad for has been math and reading activities and new books to read that we do not have in our classroom.

We are so lucky to have people in our lives to donate to our classroom. My students are so happy to use this ipad. Thank you again.”

  • Who Wants a Whiteboard? We Do!

    Funded Jun 7, 2023

Thank you so much for the whiteboards! My class during the summer used them so much to learn English and to learn how to create sentences using different words in English. This year my students have been using them to do math, phonics, and small group work.

We are so lucky to have donors like you to provide us with materials that are new especially these whiteboards. We have just started school, so I am so excited to see how many more activities we can use these whiteboards for.

    Thank you so much again!”

  • Organized Readers!

    Funded Feb 13, 2023

My students and I absolutely love our new book shelves in our classroom. When the big boxes came into our classroom, they were so excited. They said, "OH MY GOODNESS! What is in those giant things!?" When I built them and put them out, we had so much more room for our book boxes and more books. It made the class more organized. My special need students really appreicated the organization also, this made it clearer for them to see what books we had and what books they were interesting in reading. Thank you so much for this amazing gift. We are so grateful to have them!”

  • Organized Readers!

    Funded Aug 21, 2021

Thank you so much for the book bins and the book shelves for my classroom. My students LOVE them so much especially because they have wheels so we can move them when pencils roll underneath :). The book bins are clear so we can see what books we have. The blue bins have been the best to put their children's supplies in because this year we cannot share our supplies. Most of my kids have not been in school the past two years, so getting back into picking out books from our class library has been challenging. The clear book bins make it look organized so my students can feel comfortable going and being able to pick what looks interesting to them. This project made my class feel so much more like a home and my co-teacher and I am so grateful for your generous donations!”

  • Headphones for Focus!

    Funded Dec 26, 2020

Thank you so much for headphones. My students have been LOVING being able to hear me teach clearly. The headphones come with a fancy microphone that they love speaking into (I love it also because I can hear them loud and clear instead of them sounding far away). The students that see specific teachers throughout the day while in school also love having these headphones because they are able to sit in the hallway and focus on what the teacher is saying instead of being distracted by different noises. These headphones have been such a great help for my students. They are so thankful for them everyday!”

  • Help Us With a New Computer!

    Funded Oct 24, 2020

Thank you so much for this computer. This has been a huge help in teaching my students remotely. Part of my reading unit that I am currently teaching used a short clip from Disney plus for them to write about. The new computer helped my students actually be able to watch it without lag and it was clear for them all to see. I am able to also teach my student teacher how to teach with my new computer because I am able to create powerpoint's for all of us to learn from. Everyone is so happy that we were able to receive this new computer.”

  • School Supplies for the Smartest Students!

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

Thank you so much for allowing my students the opportunity to learn with new school supplies. This year has been a crazy one and this sparked so much joy for all the fourth grade students. The students and their families came to school to pick up brand new supplies. I wish you saw their faces because they were so excited to get notebooks, folders, pencils, pens, and a few other things! Not being physically in school this year is very difficult for us, but having all the same supplies helps everyone to learn and for my colleagues and me to teach! Thank you SO SO much for making fourth graders at P.S. 126 so happy.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Freeman

Our classroom is nestled in a public education school with approximately 720 students of mixed ethnic and social-economic status. Our families are mainly middle-low to low socioeconomic status. We are a school set in an urban location and receive Title 1 funding. Because we are such a diverse community, our school delves deeply and immerses the children immensely into the arts. Music and art and creativity, are things we all understand regardless of the language we speak. We are an incredible school that delves its students into learning and encourages collaboration amongst all students regardless of ethnic background, economic status, or academic and learning style.
