I want to thank you for your kindness in providing these students with a chance to really get involved with their artwork. The project funded was exposing the students to various media in the visual arts. Most have not had the opportunity to use various media in creating a piece of artwork, and the students were excited!
Watching the students create their projects was a blessing for me because they revert to children again and have an ability to just be creative. They were caught up in their world of imagination while creating these.
Thank you for giving them the visual arts' impact, so they can be exposed to creative thinking skills and abstract concepts.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Cooper-Cole
This classroom project was brought to life by Nevada Department of Education.
This project will allow for the students to work with a medium that is otherwise off limits to them because of cost. They will have the opportunity to be exposed to clay and its tools to create and represent who they are as well as express themselves culturally. The project will require the students to have a plan for their sculpture as well as have the verbage to explain it to their class when they have completed it. They will incorporate the elements of art to analyze and evaluate their artwork.
