Teacher Companion for Virtual School
Funded May 5, 2021I am truly blessed to receive this technology to expediate my teaching. Thank you very much for your generous and kind donations. I use this device to create high quality lessons and store them in a place where I can integrate multiple resources at one time. The unique feature of this equipment enable me to have high quality online instruction and face to face instruction.
When I present interactive lessons with pictures, my students' focus and interest increases. I am able to teach the way they learn. This tool is really helpful and a must one in my teaching. I am enhancing my technology skills to effectively implement lessons to gain students' interest.
I planned to use this for a student with Autism. But, he moved to a different school and now I am using it with my emotionally challenged student. Even when school goes back to remote, this technology will be my best tool to provide instruction where students learning will not drop. Thanks again for making this happen in my classroom.”

With your kind support and through donors choose, I was able to get the annual subscription for Near Pod educational platform. This platform is a great resource for me to teach and assign independent practice for my students. There are so many resources to pull from the teacher's library and use it for my class based on student needs.
My students' enjoyed working in this platform, as it provides good audio visual along with the step by step directions. This platform is going to be a great resource for my teaching this year. I am truly thankful.”

Funded Dec 22, 2020This is a cool product. Thank you so much donors for helping my students to benefit from this project. I am going to use this for teaching geometry, 3-dimensional figures, and also to help them to draw within lines.
The product is very new to them. They haven't seen this before. This serves to be their learning and emotional toy to help them with learning as well as their emotions.
I use this with my Autistic student to teach abstract concepts and I use the same product with my Emotionally challenged student as a reward to use it during his break time. Thank you again for bringing joy and learning to my class.”

Funded Feb 17, 2021First, I would like to express my sincere thanks for enabling me to teach effectively during this pandemic. The second screen made a great impact in my teaching like I am teaching face to face. I am able to use one screen for teaching and the second screen to monitor student's participation and their responses.
The students are more excited like never before when I am able to teach and see them at one time. This was not possible before this project is funded. So, their learning picks up very well. I am able to pull my next lesson readily when my students are completing the assignments synchronously.
All my students were excited to see me looking at them straight and talk to them like I am teaching face to face. This project made a great impact on my teaching during this pandemic. I am so blessed by all the sponsors who supported my project. Thank you again!”

Funded May 28, 2020First and foremost, thank you for making an impact on education during this virtual learning environment. I am using the digital resources for my students to interact with one another in the virtual setting. The tools I use gives my students the same experience as we work together in a face to face situation. Working with exceptional education students is challenging as one student who benefits the most out of digital learning experience when the other student who has Autism, having a difficult time adjusting to the digital world. With the help of this project, I will be able to cater to the individual needs of my students.
Whenever my students see the new lessons coming to them in different formats, their involvement with the assignments is increasing rapidly. They love to do the projects that they see on their screen.
I am planning to do a project to support students with Autism. It will include different ways to gain the attention of Autistic students to listen and respond in the virtual learning environment. Again, I am writing this with much appreciation for your support for my class.”

Funded May 7, 2020With a grateful heart, I am happy to share the impact of your contributions to my class. During COVID 19 distance learning, the Chromebook bought through this project is used by a student who doesn't have a computer to participate in distance learning. Your assistance not only enables him to continue distance learning, but he will also be able to have some basic food and learning tools during this hard time.
The student and his family are very excited to receive the materials. Chromebook and food are very important and one of the basic needs during this COVID19. The student is enjoying the snacks, supplies, and Chromebook to engage himself in learning and fun activities.
Yes, this project benefits a student who lives in a motel. These items are treasured and used appropriately by this student. My sincere thanks to you all.”

Funded May 10, 2020Thank you so much for contributing to this project. Two students of the same family benefited from this project. The siblings live in the same foster care. The materials that went home is helping them to be active and engaged in the house during this unprecedented time. The materials from this project strengthen their emotional, social, and cognitive well being.
Through the support of distance learning projects, I have shipped the materials directly to their house in order of avoiding too many contacts during this time. The foster mom let them open the packages by themselves and explore the materials inside it. They both loved the materials and send me a text to thank you and mentioned they loved it.
I have a live project to purchase Teachers' Pay Teachers resources to provide distant learning more reachable to my students in the coming fall. My future projects are to support each and every one of my students by sending home the necessary materials to have a memorable summer at home. I will look forward to your continued support in my classroom.”

Funded May 21, 2020I am grateful for funding this project. Through this project, I sent summer love to my student through the most needed materials for survival at home. This week is the student's birthday week, and I am so happy that I made a great big smile on his birthday through your generous support. The student is living in a motel, and these things will help him, and his family has a great week's worth of supplies.
When I inform the parent that the materials are arriving, he wanted transformer toys for his birthday, and I added that to the list. His mom sent me the text message saying, "Thank you for everything. My son will love it". Her wordings may be simple, but I can imagine and feel the joy at their house when I receive the photos of the materials. Thank you for being apart of my student and his family's physical, emotional, and social well being.
My next project is to buy the Teachers' Pay Teachers resources to maximize my instruction in the fall to fill the gap made during the end of this unprecedented school year. I am planning to support my student's families by writing some more donors choose projects to provide the necessary materials for their household. I am so thankful to all such donors like you. I will help the families in the coming days to be fed and well supported during this economic downfall with the help of distance learning projects.”

Funded May 6, 2020First and foremost, my sincere thanks for bringing this project to life. We use technology a lot in our class using the adapted curriculum. When schools suddenly closed and started virtual learning, many of the students affected due to the unavailability of technology devices. One among them is the student who is blessed by your generous donation. After 2 solid months, I am now able to see and provide instruction using Microsoft teams. It is such a joy that I am able to continue instruction.
My student is excited and received my help very well in storing different technology tools in the chromebook. He works like a genius and was able to add programs quickly. He usually needed frequent breaks during learning, now he is super excited to work continually without break.
This student is going to benefit all through the summer to engage in fill in the gap instruction using the chromebook received from this project.”
