Hi! I am Ms. Goerke, Speech-Language Specialist at Lincoln Avenue School in Orange, NJ. I work with 60+ elementary students with communication disorders in dedicated Language and Learning Disabilities special education classrooms. A speech and language disorder is an impairment in the ability to understand and/or express thoughts and ideas. It may affect speaking, reading, writing, processing information, or interacting socially. Your donations help my students with speech, language and learning disabilities become more effective communicators. From strengthening vocabulary skills for reading comprehension, to improving their grammar and sentences when speaking, the materials I have requested will aid in increasing my students' understanding and expression of language.
