I teach grades 6-8 at a bilingual school in Santa Fe, New Mexico in a high poverty area. Many of my students are Hispanic and, because they do attend a bilingual school, a lot of students are also English Language Learners. My students come from different walks of life but all are exuberant, excited learners, and eager musicians.
