With more digital tools available than ever, and Smartphones in nearly every household, it can be easy to forget that access to high-quality technology is still not universal. As a yearbook staff, our photography is often limited by the inequities in student's access to cameras, so by adding two more Cannon Rebels and one Go Pro Cameras to our shelves, I can ensure better access to professional-grade equipment. Providing my yearbook staff with access to professional cameras will give them the photojournalism experience and the confidence to pursue education and jobs in digital media, bringing more diverse voices to an important industry.
