We would like to bring this portable sound system with microphones and a mixer to our school for many reasons. The first reason is that we would like to offer more opportunities to our fine arts students. We would like students to have the opportunity to sing solos in our school gym for various events. An example of this is the Spring Dance Show. Last year, there were choir soloists that sang to provide entertainment for the Dance Team’s Spring Dance Show during costume changes. The sound system kept shutting off and sending a high pitched feedback. Band also needed a reliable sound system to use during their jazz band performance at this same event. One of the microphones completely stopped working during the performance. We would also like to provide the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at home volleyball and basketball games, but right now the sound system in our gym provides a lot of feedback and does not work consistently. We would like to offer these opportunities, but only if we have a reliable system like this one. The second reason we would like this portable sound system is because we are currently planning an elementary tour with band and choir. We received feedback that elementary schools wanted us to come and perform at their schools. These types of concerts may take place anywhere- in a gym, in the cafeteria, in the library, or wherever that campus’s principal would like us to be. Band and choir are collaborating on a tour to perform at each of the elementary schools that are zoned to us. We need a portable sound system in order to do the performances at the elementary schools. There are more reasons, but I am out of room! Feel free to email me with questions.
