  • Paper Doesn't Grow on Trees

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thanks so much for contributing to our project to have computer printer paper! It'll help us build a stash of paper to always have on hand for all of our students across the four core subjects. You don't realize how much paper you go through until you're a teacher! :)”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Reid

  • Why Reinvent the (Math) Wheel?

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to my project for a TeachersPayTeachers gift card! Navigating a new Math curriculum, especially for our students of different abilities, will be made so much easier with this gift card as I'll be able to supplement with extra resources, math task cards, etc. Thank you!”

  • I'll Print That Out!

    Funded Sep 11, 2021

Having our own classroom printer to print off individual copies, things for the classroom, things for students, on the go documents, and more is super awesome. This printer has helped us stay prepared, organized and ready to support our students. It's not only super uber fast, it prints in both color and black and white and let me tell you, that's a game changer! We put in for copies at our school but if we're ever in a pinch, we can quickly print off a class set using this great classroom printer and for that, we can't thank you enough!”

  • Books, Books, Books!

    Funded Dec 28, 2021

Thanks for your contributions to this project, just in time for 2022! These will help refill our classroom library that's been combed through a ton! Many of these are graphic novels, the latest cool books of choice for many of our readers, and will be uber loved by many. We can't wait to be able to refill our libraries for our 6th graders so they can pick and choose a book for themselves to read! It's going to get so many graphic novels into our kids hands during these hard and difficult times in NYC schools. Thank you again Donors Choose for providing me the opportunity to volunteer with the organization and use my credits for this project.”

  • Comfy in ELA!

    Funded Oct 4, 2021

Having comfy saucer chairs and bean bags really transforms a classroom. Having ones that are colorful and patterned just ADDS to the novelty of it all! These flexible seating options have done wonders in our classroom. So many students across the country have to sit in uncomfortable metal or wooden chairs - it really takes a toll on them! These saucer chairs and bean bag have helped make our ELA classroom a warm and uber comfortable place for many of our students. They've been used during lessons, during Independent Reading time, and during the random moments of downtime we sometimes get. Thank you ALL for your contributions in making this happen! :)”

    Mrs. Reid

  • Let's Have Fun While Reading!

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Thank you to Donors Choose! These materials will be perfect for this upcoming school year. They're basic supplies for our ELA classroom where we plan to read, write, and help our students find a creative outlet. We hope that things will be more "normal" this upcoming school year. We plan to ensure that every student has a bookmark for their independent reading book. Post-its will be made available always for them to jot down their thoughts, reactions, and more. Organizational products such as the bins will be housing student supplies in an organized manner so we can always reach for them easily. Thank you all so much!”

  • Organized in ELA

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Thank you to Donors Choose! These materials will be perfect for this upcoming school year. They're basic supplies for our ELA classroom. We hope that things will be more "normal" this upcoming school year. We plan to use all the pencils, loose leaf paper, etc, for academic activities. We plan to use the happy birthday items to help build relationships with our students. Not every "gift" has to be food-related, especially in the age of allergies, and we want to make every student feel special. Thank you so much!”

  • Let's Get Reading!

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

We finally made it into our school buildings to prepare for our 2021 - 2022 school year and it was SO exciting to break open our boxes and boxes full of books. These will help refill our classroom library that's taken a bit of a hit over the past year and a half. Many of these are graphic novels, the latest cool books of choice for many of our incoming readers, and will be uber loved by many. We can't wait to be able to open our libraries for our incoming 6th graders so they can pick and choose a book for themselves to read! Thanks so much!”

Thank you to Donors Choose and Kleenex for giving me the opportunity to fund my project at a half rate! These materials will be perfect for this upcoming school year. They're basic supplies for our NON-basic upcoming school year. We hope that things will be more "normal" this upcoming school year. We plan to use all the pencils, loose leaf paper, etc, for academic activities. We plan to use the happy birthday items to help build relationships with our students. • Let's Get Active!

    Funded Apr 23, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to my project! Having jump ropes, balls, hacky sacks, and more, made recess and Movement Breaks even more enjoyable! These materials can be used by all of our middle schoolers during their physical activity periods and helps promote physical health in our students. This past year and a half has unfortunately been a much less physical year for many of our students, being home due to the pandemic, etc, and so having these items was great. They will be used in the upcoming school year as well. Thank you again!”
