  • Odds and Ends

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

This project was truly an odds and ends project that helped me fill in the gaps of missing things we needed! This sounds funny but one of the items they have loved most are the balls for wall ball. Every recess, both boys and girls, meet out at the big high school wall next to our school and play wall ball. We go through a lot of balls because most end up on the roof, so having plenty is really nice!

Also, I am so grateful for the laminating sheets. I can't even begin to tell you how often I laminate important papers that I want to have for years to come. I also laminate password cards, pictures, and lots more.

Thank you so much for helping me and my students get those odds and ends we were missing!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wieland

  • Jingle All the Way!

    Funded Nov 26, 2023

With your help we really brought the Jingle in our Christmas Tree Jingle song and Winter Fantasy! We made a splash as we came down the rows with our finger lights and then started our song with some major jingling! It's amazing how just a small couple of things can make something go from good to amazing!

Thank you for also helping get some bags that we will be using at the end of the year for some exciting summer goodies that they will get to take home!

With your help we have really added some wow to a good year, thank you for being part of our village!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wieland

  • Full STEAM Ahead

    Funded Nov 9, 2023

This project has been so much fun to have! Thank you for helping me get some items for my students that help in a variety of ways! You helped us get some wrist bells for our Holiday Concert that really helped us make our song over the top good! They danced and sang an awesome song and the bells really added some great pazazz!

You also helped us get some shrinky dink paper to make some key chains for our families and something fun for them! And lastly, you helped us get an amazing kit that helped us make bouncy balls using science and slime!

Thanks for helping us make this year the best!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wieland

  • Grinches to Angels

    Funded Oct 25, 2023

Thank you so much for all the help I got in getting these amazing Grinches for each of my students! I love the time in between Thanksgiving and Christmas! I truly believe it is a great time to learn how to serve and bring kindness to the world you live in, and hopefully continue on throughout the year.

We started our season of giving with our Grinches and talked about how we can find was to show kindness to those around us. We then got to create some fun bookmarks for every student in the school and would secretly deliver them with a candy cane. It was really fun to hear the other students talk about their little gifts and my students loved every second of it!

Thank you again for helping me create Angels out of my little Grinches!”

  • Glowing Hedgehogs

    Funded Nov 9, 2023

This science project was so fun! As I was preparing for this activity I realized that this would be safer to do at home with one on one and parent help. They had to prepare boiling water, add the crystal powder to the bowl, and then let sit for 1-2 days. I got so many pictures of their crystal hedgehogs as they watched the crystals get bigger every day.

Thank you so much for helping me bring science into my classroom and getting them excited about unknowns! When they came back to school they couldn't stop talking about how their projects went, and just like a lot of science projects, some failed.”

  • Treats and Art for Sale!

    Funded Sep 23, 2023

Thank you so much for all who helped us get these amazing snacks and art supplies for our class! I don't know how many of you are like me, but I struggle getting to lunch without a small snack to get me through the day, and then another between lunch and the time to go home. These kids are in the middle of major growth spurts and they seem to be hungry all the time! Thank you for helping us get the snacks that we needed to just get us through until lunch!

Also, my students love art and you helped us get some amazing scratch art paper. This has elevated our drawing time from mediocre to really fun with the very bright lines you get as you scratch instead of draw! Thanks for helping us make our classroom AWESOME!”

  • Working Hard for Our Money

    Funded Sep 10, 2023

Thank you so much for helping us get some amazing School Store merchandise! My students love my behavior system where they get to earn "money" for their good behavior, and if they have money they have to pay me for bad behavior, let's just say that behavior gets fixed pretty quickly!

These prizes have been so fun and they have loved earning them. What is great is when they see one student get a certain prize it really helps motivate the others to step it up!

Thank you so much for helping us get all these amazing things for our classroom. I was talking to my coworkers and we were reminiscing about our own experience in elementary school, and we were all in consensus that we have made our classrooms pretty unforgettable!”

  • Hungry, Hungry Kiddos

    Funded Nov 4, 2023

As the boxes came into my classroom the kids thought it was Christmas Day! So funny to watch them and as we opened them! Just this morning I had a kid come in late to class and within an hour they were so hungry because they hadn't eaten breakfast and that was all he could focus on until I gave him a few pretzels. It didn't take a lot to get him through til lunch!

The office was also so grateful to get a few boxes of food to give out to kids that go home hungry, or come to school needed something! Thank you so much for helping our school and for showing that serving others feels really great!”

  • Choose Kind

    Funded Oct 18, 2023

I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am to you for helping me create this Day of Kindness! I love this day and all that we do! They watch me for days making their shirts, with all third grade it is over 80 t-shirts! They are so excited to put that shirt on and have a day full of kind acts!

Thank you so much for helping us get all the things we need to make these shirts, they LOVE them! The Cricut iron has really made it so easy for me to quickly iron on the Choose Kind vinyl and cut down the time it takes me to make the shirts!”

  • Here We Go!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you so much for helping my get our school year started off with a bang! You were able to help me get some essentials to starting their school year off right, like water bottles! I love these little bottles! I put their class number on the bottle with vinyl so they never get their mixed up with someone else. They keep them on their desk so they always have water when they need it!

You also helped us get some snacks for my students and this is probably their favorite! My students can get HANGRY especially when they are adjusting to going back to school! Thank you so much for all your support!”

I am a third grade teacher in rural South Eastern Idaho. There is a reservation next to our small town, and we enjoy a wide range of diversity with our Native American students and Hispanic students. Seventy percent of our students are on free and reduced lunches. With such a wide range of students it is so exciting to celebrate the culture our school has created. Each student has their own potential, and it is so exciting to help them reach their highest potential. I feel so lucky to be a part of their lives. What an incredible job to have!
