Wobble Chairs for My Little Wigglers!
Funded Aug 20, 2015Thank you again for your donation to my classroom! My students were so excited to see we had 3 boxes delivered to our room! (Mail is always awesome in the classroom!) So once we opened the boxes and the chairs were put together (in just minutes), the students just stared at them! We were able to try out our chairs and talk about rules on how to use them and what to do and not to do! It has been amazing!
I love that my most wiggly learners are able to continue to "wiggle" while we learn. They are able to move around during small group work and it not be a distraction to others! I can't wait to be able to set up another project to order more chairs. Having 3 has been great, but even more would be awesome.
The students love being able to choose to sit on the wobble chair OR another seat. Having that option to choose on where they want to learn from for the day makes a difference.
Thanks again for believing in my students and my classroom! Your donation has made a difference!”
With gratitude,

Lions, Tigers, Great Readers...Oh My!
Funded Nov 9, 2011Thanks! One little word that can mean so many things, but in this case, it is not enough. My students have absolutely loved using the Weekly Readers and so have I. During each Science and Soc. Studies topic, we use our Weekly Readers to engage in non-fiction text, which is so important for my students to be able to understand. It has broadened their knowledge base on various subjects such as animal habitats, seasons, and specific holiday traditions. Not only has the magazine allowed for my students to gain understanding on "real-life stuff", it provides various opportunities to integrate language arts and reading skills that are so important in Kindergarten. My students are required to know the parts of a book, differences between words/letters, and begin reading small books. Weekly Readers allow for us to teach these skills and keep them engaged at the same time because of the technology piece that comes with the package. And not only that, they are able to take their own copy home to share with their parents which allows for them to be the "teacher" at home.
Words can not express how thankful I am that people like you understand the value of education and how you are willing to help teachers. So many of us work so hard to provide opportunities for our students that they may not receive anywhere else and to know that you feel the same way is empowering to us teachers to keep pushing forward and provide for our students every opportunity possible. You guys are amazing! Thanks again! ”
With gratitude,
