Just Keep Swimming!
Funded Nov 15, 2016Our students are very lucky second graders. They were chosen to attend an amazing swim program each week, and our students have already begun this wonderful opportunity. They have had to borrow supplies each week and when they saw all of the new and exciting swim caps and goggles they were bursting with excitement! They are extremely grateful to have their very own swim caps and goggles thanks to your generous donations!
Our students have been doing an amazing job in the water, some of them who have been hesitant to even go in to the water are now swimming and moving all over independently. While other students who were comfortable in the water perviously, they are jumping off diving boards into the deep 9 feet water! We are so proud of our students' and all of their progress they have made so far! Again, our students are very lucky to have amazing donors such as yourselves to help them participate in this amazing opportunity!
Thank you so much for helping us fund this project!”

We Love Learning With Technology!!
Funded Mar 9, 2016I would like to this opportunity to thank all you for generously donating to our classroom during Best School Day, and helping to assist our class in getting a laptop. The laptop will assist me in our continuing effort to introduce the students to the advancing technology, because of the new macBook we are now able to use our new Smartboard that was installed in our classroom a few months ago.
Many of my students do not already have computers to use at home and lack skills that many other students have , this new equipment will ensure that they gain such important skills as their education just begins. Again, thank you for all of your kind support it has impacted our class greatly!”

Inspiring Through Technology
Funded May 20, 2015Thank you for your generous donations! We now have an iPad, and are using it to practice math skills, increase our vocabulary skills, read different texts and so much more!
My students love technology, some of them are unable to access it at home and the iPad makes learning inviting, fun, and exciting for them. There are plenty of math and ELA apps to help them practice new skills in a fun and interactive way.
This year my students will begin with plenty of opportunities to grow and increase their skills! Your generosity is appreciated, and has made a difference in out classroom!”

Differentiating Our Learning!
Funded Feb 2, 2015The gift you have given our classroom in the form of an iPad, glove and alphabet tubs has had an amazing impact on our classroom! I can not express my gratitude enough for your generous donation!
The globe has been an amazing resource for my students to help learn about geography! In ELA and Social Studies we are constantly referring to the "giant" globe, students are able to identify areas that we are learning about and they are excited to use it all the time!
The impact goes further than that, students use the iPad during Math and ELA. Two of my students who struggle with the pace and rigor of the curriculum have worked with the iPad daily on their personalized sight word lists as well as with math concepts. This allows them some time to work on basic skills that they are struggling in. Most of my students do not have any technology when they go home, the iPad is exciting and engaging for them and is helping them learn all at the same time!
The iPad that you have provided us with will be used for years to come, engaging and exiting students about learning. Thank you for giving the gift of intrigue, education, and technology. We greatly appreciate your love and support.”

Reading Fun In K And First!
Funded Aug 24, 2014My students were over the moon excited when they saw the new books, pocket chart, pencils and crayons for our classroom! They already have their favorite go-to books! Since my students come from low-income homes it is important for them to receive as many resources as possible while in school. Since receiving our new resources we have been reading and working hard in our classroom.
My students have a large disadvantage over many other students in our school, being in special education as well as living in a low-income neighborhood, they have very low expectations placed upon them. I, however, feel that they can grow and achieve higher than what is expected of them. We set aside time throughout our day for students to choose a book that is the right reading level for them. Sometimes it may be the same book, sometimes it is a different book, the important part is that my students are reading and growing academically. Due to the area that my students live in, most of them were not able to bring in school supplies of their own. Having the pencils and crayons has helped to implement daily classroom lessons knowing that my students have what they need.
Thanks to your kindness my students are on the right track to have a successful school year! It means the world to us to have wonderful people helping us on our road to learning! Thank you again!”
