  • Books to Read and Enjoy!

    Funded Oct 22, 2020

A million thanks to you for helping to provide our classroom library with variety of books that feature diverse characters to match the diversity of my students.

I think it's important that young readers see themselves in the characters of books that they read. Books that students will fall in love with and characters that represent them. It's truly amazing to be able to provide students with books that will pique their interest while promoting diversity.

Your generous contribution has added books to our library that students will enjoy reading for years to come.”

  • Community Rug!

    Funded May 28, 2020

The beginning of the school year is always filled with an overwhelming feeling of possibility and new beginnings. In setting up for this school year, a classroom rug was on the top of my list of supplies. I just knew that it would transform our shared space and make collaborative learning even more enjoyable. Never in a million years could I have imagined it would be the one item that would be considered a non-negotiable in the classroom due to the pandemic and the social distancing protocols put in place by the school district.

Although, the rug is currently rolled up, it is with a heartfelt thank you that I write this note. I am hopeful for the sake of my students, that we will resume to normal in the fall. That we will once again be able to join together on the rug to listen to stories or greet one another during morning meeting. And when we do, we will have a brand new classroom rug waiting for us, thanks to you.

On behalf of our students and school community, we thank you for your generosity and continued commitment to learning!!!”

  • Collaborative Learning Fun!

    Funded May 28, 2020

Although our current normal is working remotely via online platforms, we have had the opportunity to return to our classroom albeit inconsistently this year. The materials brought to the classroom as a result of your generosity has helped to build community while putting a smile on the faces of my students.

When I first wrote this proposal, I imagined how happy my students would be to build with Legos. But I didn't realize how much joy and normalcy it would bring to our classroom. Although, they each build independently at their seats, they share ideas, problem solve and let their imaginations run wide, collaboratively. Seeing them have fun once again is priceless. And I thank you for making this possible.

Please know that your support and generosity has meant the world to us, especially now!”

  • Classroom Basics!

    Funded Jun 6, 2020

This school year, the most basic of supplies and materials have been hard to come by. It's been truly an amazing feeling to be able to open the classroom closet and have sharpened pencils, markers, colored pencils, folders, copy paper and all the classroom basics, that quite frankly are not basic at all.

These resources ensure that my students have the supplies they need for our in person learning activities. This year, my students are in the classroom only two days out of the week but it's still incredibly important for them to have what they need to learn. Although these supplies sound pretty basic to some, they are all desperately needed on a daily basis.

On behalf of myself, my school and my students, we offer you a heartfelt thank you for making teaching a little easier and giving my students the tools they need to focus on growing and learning.”

The lending library is ready to go! Your generosity has made it possible for students to have access to great books. Having books to read in class is vital and providing students the opportunity to bring books home to share with their families is life changing.

With your generosity, I hope that the lending library fosters a genuine excitement for reading. Thank you again for helping to ensure that my students have access to quality literature at home. What a truly great way to start the school year!”

  • Heading Back to School!

    Funded Aug 13, 2020

Your generosity has provided my students classroom supplies that will help make learning activities possible. Additionally, the borders, board letters and motivational posters will help to make the classroom environment welcoming to students who have been out of school since March.

These supplies may seem basic to some but to us they play a crucial part to learning on a day to day basis through lessons and activities in the classroom. A million thanks for making this possible! Thank you again for making sure that our classroom is student ready!”

  • Celebrating Hard Work & Perseverance!

    Funded Oct 24, 2019

Thank you so much for making this project possible for my third grade students. We received our project materials and I planned to use them as incentives for exemplary work and positive behavior but things rapidly changed and schools closed for health and safety measures.

Sadly, we were never able to return to our classroom due to COVID-19. However, I was able to take some photos of the materials that were distributed at the end of the school year in goody bags. Each student was provided a summer break goody bag filled with many fun and educational goodies including many of the items from this project. The paint sets, neon crayons and bubble wands were a hit! My students were pretty excited to receive them.

We were all thankful to know that so many people supported us and helped fund our project. Know that your donations put great big smiles on the faces of my students!”

Our library was in desperate need of a kid friendly makeover and now because of your contribution we have a library filled with sturdy book bins and baskets that the perfect size to fit our books. This collection of sturdier and larger book bins will make it easier for students to find the books they want to read.

  • Fuel Our Brains!

    Funded Feb 5, 2020

Your contributions to this project are greatly appreciated! Your generosity has made it possible for me to provide a variety of healthier snack options that students enjoy eating.

We all know how difficult it is to stay focused on anything while our tummies are grumbling. Because of donors like you, my students will have the fuel they need to stay energized and focused on their learning. Thank you so very much for your continued interest in ensuring that students have what they need to be successful in school!”

The resilience and determination of the students I serve never ceases to amaze me even after twelve years of teaching. No matter the circumstance, they come to school eager and excited to learn new things. They love reading and sharing their ideas. They inspire me daily and help me to remember why I teach.
