• Restocking Classroom Supplies

  It's been a truly amazing feeling to open the classroom closet and have copy paper, bulletin board letters, staples, glue sticks, magnets and construction paper. All classroom basics, that quite frankly are not basic at all. They are essential to completing daily lessons and projects.

  The teacher stamps for grading have been a fun and colorful touch to student work. It brings a smile to my kiddo's faces when they see the words AMAZING or WELL DONE! These stamps allow me to provide quick, colorful feedback on their work that brightens up their day.

  It's been truly an amazing feeling to be able to open the classroom closet and have markers, copy paper, and colored pencils. All classroom basics, that quite frankly are not basic at all.

  The sticky notes also supported my small group instruction and overall classroom function. It allows me to provide feedback on student work and allows my students to record their quick jots on instead of in books that are shared.

• Writing Center Supplies

  Having this project funded meant that I had what I needed to set up my classroom and provide writing center supplies for my students.

  The writing center is a special place in our classroom solely dedicated to housing all of the supplies, writing materials and helpful resources needed for my students to draft, revise and publish their writing. The staplers, pens, notebooks and bright colored paper rolls to display student writing that were provided were greatly needed.

• Spark Curiosity with Scholastic News!

  A subscription to the Scholastic News magazine has provided my students access to non-fiction texts several times a month. In just one magazine, my third grade readers are exposed to engaging articles and online resources. As a teacher I'm always on the hunt for quality reading material that sparks excitement and interest in my students, especially my most reluctant readers. Thanks to your generous contributions my students now have access to this kid friendly, grade level appropriate and engaging magazine!

  Your support made it possible for each student to get their very own magazine subscription. Seeing them read, mark up their own copy with highlights, and annotations as they make meaning of what they're reading has been exciting.
