Technology for Our Classroom
Funded Mar 5, 2016Dear Donors,
Our classroom and school cannot thank you enough for your generous donation. We were able to purchase 4 chromebooks, and 1 ipad. My students were able to engage in active research, learning and creating with this new added technology.
One particular project that we created this year, was an ancient culture fair. My students were able to conduct research on their ancient culture of choice, and create a creative display that would educate others about their ancient culture. So many more students were able to actively participate because of this added technology.
I anticipate many more projects where our students will be engaged because your help and generosity.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Bowman
Kindles for Our Classroom.....Please!
Funded Jan 30, 2015Our past and future classrooms cannot thank you enough for your kindness, generosity and support! By giving your donation, we are able to listen to reading, conduct on-line research, put together slide shows, movies and just read books we enjoy.
Last school year, we had many opportunities to research a variety of topics. Students conducted research on the Greek Olympics, create movies demonstrated the adversities face by kids their age in the middle ages, and listen to book through the audio feature. This technology has taken some of the limits that we face in our classroom and allowed students to be more creative and knowledgeable on the given topic.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Bowman
Help Us Read Bud, Not Buddy... Please!
Funded Dec 5, 2014Our 6th grade class cannot thank you all enough for your donations. The students were extremely appreciative of your time and money that you so kindly donated to this project. They were inspired by the kindness of others and deeply touched that someone they didn't know would care so much about their education.
We have used these books in a large unit that focuses on "Rules to live by" and how people come up with these rules. The main character in the book (Bud) had developed his own set of rules which helps him to both survive and thrive.
This book, as well as other resources on "Rules to live by", helped students develop the ability to form and argument based essay that proved whether or not Bud uses his rules to survive and thrive. They were also able to create and evaluate their own set of rules to live by.
This project wouldn't have been possible without your help and support.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Bowman
