The majority of learning happens while students are sitting. Unfortunately, this means many students aren't getting enough movement in their day. Students can change that with Hokki stools! These ergonomic stools have a rounded based allowing students to move while they learn. They can be seated during a lesson AND engaging their core to build strength and burn calories. These stools can also help improve posture and utilize students' excess energy.
My students have clearly communicated to me their need for more movement in the classroom. Sometimes I see the nonverbal signs like kids sitting on their haunches in their chairs or standing next to their desks. Other students just tell me, "I need to move!" This is why we think Hokki stools will be an ideal way to boost movement in our classroom. Hokki stools both increase students physical activity and their ability to focus. These stools are a win-win. Ideally, we would eventually have a class set of Hooki stools, but for now this is a step in the right direction. Thank you!
