I have 32 students in a 5th grade class. We have limited resources for hands on learning and exploring. My students are hard workers and they enjoy learning. My students learn best when they have a variety of learning opportunities, especially hands-on activity. We are a year round school in an area where there are older neighborhoods and developing neighborhoods. Areas like Science and Social Studies have no funding and we as teachers are left to use our creativity and personal money to supplement those curriculum areas.
