  • Teaching with Tablets!

    Funded Sep 20, 2015

We are writing to express our deepest thanks for your recent donation to our classroom. Generous donations from people like you provide the financial and and moral support we need to succeed.

Your support has played a key role in our success of being able to conduct multiple literacy and math centers within the school day that include the use of technology.

There is no way to fully express our gratitude for your acts of kindness and as a teacher in the inner-city, I am inspired by the the dedication and generosity of donors like yourself.

It is our hope that this letter/ very small token of appreciation, will help to communicate our very big thanks for your generosity. The students in my classroom love using these tablets and some of their behavior has even improved since they have arrived, so on behalf of my students and I, thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mason

  • Preparation is Key!

    Funded Aug 17, 2015

We have thanked you before and we are thanking you again! Your donation has helped us start our school year more organized than ever! We use our seat sacks daily to store notebooks, textbooks, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, rulers, and even name tags! This avoids having to search for materials and prevents us from wasting time by distributing books we use daily that can't fit in the desks. Our kids were extremely grateful when I explained how we were able to purchase the seat sacks and have asked me to extend a thank you on their behalf. As an educator, it does not matter how much you want for your students, it is impossible to do it without the resources! Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping us achieve success, it takes a village!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Mason

I have a great group of students with special needs that LOVE to learn. They are all attending this public community school in an effort to increase their academic skills and potentially be moved into a general education classroom but there are many external factors that distract their learning. Not only is the community they live in suffering from poverty, but it is also crime-ridden. I want to provide my students with the most welcoming learning environment conducive to learning. One that takes them away from what goes on outside of the school and pulls them closer to a greater education.
