  • Who Knew Video Games Where Beneficial?

    Funded Oct 16, 2022

Video games have a multitude of benefits for young scholars. Games can teach kids to be a better problem solver. Open-world, mission-based, and multi-level games are designed like complex puzzles that prompt kids to use their critical thinking skills. Learning to think on your feet and strategize in a fast-paced fantasy environment is a skill that can translate to the real world. Thank you for investing in my sweet scholars. Your investment is a gift that will keep them interested in learning for a long time.”

  • Math Manipulatives Needed

    Funded Aug 30, 2022

It is the position of the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM) that to ensure mathematical proficiency in students leaders and teachers must systematically integrate the use of concrete manipulatives into classroom instruction at all grade levels. The use of the white board in our classroom have helped my young scholars to express their mathematical ideas. Using a whiteboard is a more hands-on way to explain concepts involving graphs, shapes, and other drawings. Thank you so much for investing in my kids.”

  • Got Stylus?

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

STEM Club is up and running in my classroom. Having efficient and effective tools like a stylus makes class so much more engaging and interesting. The Apple Pencil is a touch-sensitive, precision selection tool that functions as a replacement for tapping the screen when used with a compatible iPad. Because it's the size of an actual pencil — something all students are familiar with, they are very comfortable using this device to create designs and complete coding. Thank you for investing in my class and helping these kiddos.”

  • Bread and Kids

    Funded Feb 10, 2022

Did you ever bake bread in your elementary classroom? My 3rd graders never did until you blessed us with our breadmaker. What a wonderful experience! The kids all contributed to the raw materials and this gave them a sense of ownership. We experimented with different recipes and they discovered that they absolutely love coconut bread! Their math and social skills grew exponentially because of the bread maker. They learned concepts like 1/2 and 1/4 is the same as 3/4. The fun we had continues today and kids are so excited about math lessons. Thank you for making this a reality!”

My students were beyond excited when I presented them with their authentic African wear. There were hollers of excitement and laughter that filled my room.
