The Love We Give
Funded Dec 18, 2017Wow! Thank you all so much for your support and helping fund this project! My students were ecstatic to hear they will be able to read this exciting book. It has helped so many of them with their reading and writing while understanding what and how diversity affects each and everyone of us. We are also very excited to receive the post its. My students love taking notes on post its and printing out questions and activities on them as well. Thank you all again for your generous donations and your support!”

We Are Different but, We Are the Same
Funded Apr 27, 2017I cannot thank you enough for your generous donation. Thank you for helping to ensure my project We Are Different but, We Are the Same to be a success. I can't wait to see the looks on my students faces when they all are reading a graphic novel together. "American Born Chinese" is a book my students will enjoy as they learn life experiences from the characters in this graphic novel. I am excited to continue planning for projects the students are able to learn life lessons from, which will include writing thank you notes as an activity for my students and myself.”

Preparing For Freak The Mighty
Funded Dec 14, 2015I would like to thank each of you for supporting my class and myself in being able to capture so many of my students with our project Preparing for Freak the Mighty. This project will help my students this year and many other students in the coming year to learn to enjoy reading. Freak the Mighty is a fun heart felt story and I plan on having long discussions about the many skills my students will be able to learn. The book Monster will also allow my students to live through the experiences of other students who are in their communities.
What a wonderful Christmas present this will be. I am excited and I am sure my student will be as well.
Please accept my heartfelt thanks for your support of "Preparing for Freak the Mighty.”
With gratitude,
Teacher Phillips
