My students are a very active group of fourth graders that thrive in an engaging classroom with little distractions. My students live in a high poverty community and school is their safe place to come and be themselves. Our school is a Title I school that has 90% of our students receiving free or reduced cost lunch. Many of my students come from a household where they only speak Spanish, so having hand on materials will help them to better grasp concepts.
