JIS Art Stars Need Supplies and Equipment!

Your contribution to our art classroom has been nothing short of important and well-received by my students. When the boxes arrived with our new printer, digital projector, and miscellaneous art supplies, they were ecstatic an eager to try everything out.

Our first project with the new equipment involved using our new projector to display famous art work and visual examples in order to create their paintings. I was able to take them to different websites and educational blogs that could further their creative endeavors. My third graders painted beautiful mermaids, and my fifth graders looked at photographs of different scenic towns around the world, exposing them to architecture for their cityscape paper lantern project. Both projects were exceedingly successful!

Since then, my classes have used their new markers and I've made several copies and printouts with visual examples to get them inspired for each project. I'm constantly using the projector every time I can, and the students always love being able to see artwork on a big screen instead of in small pictures in books or small posters.

My students are always excited to enter the art room, and the new equipment makes it so much easier to teach, and easier for them to learn! Thank you again so very much for your contributions. Their success and happiness is due in great part to your generous hearts.”
