By donating to my project, you will allow me to provide my students access to high-quality pictures and visual supports that they benefit from to move independently through their school days and through daily activities outside of school. I will create communication books for students with limited verbal communication to maximize their participation in daily language and social interactions, visual recipe, vocational, and daily living task sequences to assist them in recalling steps with less assistance, and color-printed adaptive materials and books to teach them new skills and expand their vocabulary and knowledge for life outside of school. Additionally, the use of an iPad tablet will grant my students access to educational and adaptive apps that will guide and assist them through academic-based tasks that may otherwise be arduous, such as adaptive reading and writing tools, and mathematical life skills (i.e. dealing with money). Both products will enhance my students' learning and communication experiences in order to maximize their independence both in school and outside of school as they transition to jobs and daily living skills.
