  • From Basics to Books: Providing Essentials for Young Learners

    Funded Feb 26, 2025

I am deeply grateful for your generous support of my classroom project. Your donation will make a real difference in the lives of many students by providing them with essential hygiene and personal care items, which will not only support their well-being but also teach valuable life skills like financial literacy.

Through stories like Those Shoes and A Chair for My Mother, students will learn the difference between "wants" and "needs" while developing skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom. Your contribution will help create a positive, nurturing environment where they can thrive both academically and personally.

Thank you for believing in my students and for helping to make this project a reality. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nicole

    Funded Feb 20, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity! With the book you helped fund, I have deepened my knowledge of dynamic assessment techniques tailored specifically for children with CAS. This resource has equipped me with the tools to go beyond standard testing measures, enabling me to identify the unique needs of each student more accurately. By implementing dynamic assessment, I can now select the most appropriate, evidence-based strategies to facilitate their success in communication.

Thank you for helping to create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for children with speech challenges. Your support is greatly appreciated!”

    Funded Sep 27, 2022

We are excited to share the impact your generous donations have made in our classroom and community! Thanks to your support, we were able to participate fully in Dyslexia Awareness Month this past October.

With the art tools and resources you provided, my students engaged in hands-on learning experiences that showcased the importance of multisensory approaches to education. At the annual Fall Festival, they shared a glimpse of the materials that help them thrive.

The Dyslexia Awareness t-shirts sparked conversations, while the informational literature and books became valuable tools for fostering understanding and empathy within our community. Our students felt empowered as they shared their stories, helping to change perceptions and promote a culture of inclusion.

  • Using Art to Strengthen Memory, Comprehension, and Economic Education

    Funded Apr 19, 2023

Thank you for your generous contribution to our project! With the new equipment we received, my students have been able to engage in hands-on projects that blend creativity with practical skills. They've learned to design and produce their own items, fostering both economic understanding and artistic expression. This not only enhances their comprehension of concepts like supply and demand but also encourages teamwork and critical thinking.

The inclusion of Cleo Edison Oliver in our curriculum has opened discussions about financial literacy in a relatable and enjoyable way. Students are not only improving their reading comprehension but are also gaining valuable insights into entrepreneurship and money management. This book has inspired them to think critically about their own financial choices and future aspirations.

Thanks to your generosity, we are nurturing a generation of informed, creative thinkers who are improving their reading skills every day. Your support is making a lasting difference in their education and lives.”

I work in a high poverty school district in the heart of the Arkansas Delta. My role in the school is to identify and serve students with dyslexia. Dyslexia is a brain-based genetic trait that makes reading, writing, and spelling difficult. Although children with dyslexia may have trouble with written language, it has nothing to do with a lack of intellect. These children are bright and talented individuals who just need a different approach to learning. My goal is to continually seek out new technology and resources that will enable them to be successful both now and in the future.
