Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom! Our students at P.S. 138M not have greater access to technology and communication because of your generosity. In this lesson plan, students utilized the ipad to navigate through images relating to the holiday of Halloween. The ipad provided for them picture which they were able to scroll through and make choices from. You contribution has reach around 150 elementary school students with disabilities in New York City. We are so grateful for your donation and look forward to utilizing our new ipad for more lessons and activities to come!”

Thank you so much for the materials and supplies for the new performing arts program at P.S. 138M. With your generosity, these special needs students have been able to access arts curriculum and build upon their known skills in order to reach learning goals and develop confidence! The students have participated in dance and movement activities, acting and role play games, singing with instruments, and performed puppet shows! Later this month, the students will complete their first performance of the year! I can't thank you enough for your kindness. Please know that you have made a huge impact to our youth, and have touched the lives of 150 students with disabilities.”

  • Technology Supplies for Autism Classroom

    Funded Jan 25, 2018

Your generous contributions to our classroom have provided my students with technology that we use to complete hands on lessons and document our progress in class! As you can see from our photographs, we have used the Ipads to take pictures to put on our bulletin boards and also to print out and send home to our families to tell them what we are doing in school and how much fun we are having. Also, the DVD players have been so helpful to use as rewards when the students complete their tasks without problem behavior! They love to watch Thomas the Train! Thank you again for your kindness and generosity. The world is brighter because of YOU!”

  • Technology and Supplies for Autism Classroom

    Funded Sep 1, 2016

Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom! The tablets and sensory toys helped us to complete our recent Biography literacy unit. We used programs on the tablet to learn about historically figures, and took pictures of our work for our bulletin board. The students were given options of the sensory toys and edible items for motivation to help them complete their work, and they loved the chips and pretzels! We sincerely appreciate your generosity and will continue to use these materials to impact our classroom in a positive way.”

  • Technology for Students with Disabilities

    Funded Dec 11, 2015

Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom! The tablets and puzzles helped us to complete our recent Poetry literacy unit. We used programs on the tablets to learn about phonics and rhymes to create poems, and took pictures of our work for our bulletin boards. The students got the opportunity to choose a toy or item they loved in the classroom to write an object poem about, and many of them chose the puzzles you helped us to purchase! We sincerely appreciate your generosity and will continue to use these materials to impact our classroom in a positive way.”

  • Kindergarten-2nd Grade Multiple Disabilities Classroom

    Funded Aug 26, 2015

In the spirit of Thanksgiving I find it fitting to reach out and extend my greatest appreciation for your contributions to the classrooms, at P.S. 138 in Manhattan. Your generosity has reached not one, but two classrooms of students from Kindergarten to 5th grade, who come from diverse neighborhoods in New York City. These students have benefited greatly from your donations that have enriched their lives in Art, Social Studies, Math, Science, and English Language Arts.

It is my greatest joy to instruct and observe these children as they learn more about themselves and the world around them while exploring materials and supplies from this project. I hope the pictures posted on the website can give you a small glimpse of the exciting adventures we have shared so far.

Thank you again, and Happy Holidays!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Crupiti-Kanjo
