Things We Need to Succeed!
Funded Dec 1, 2021This year my classroom has had to be slightly different from the past years. I am using desks instead of tables. Students must be 3 feet apart and we must limit contact. I have been using storage carts to help organize my room an keep everyone safe. These carts are a way to keep our room organized and gives the students a sense of ownership. They are the ones responsible for getting out their own stations and taking care of things when they are finished. With labeled drawers they know where everything goes. The masks were a huge help as many students did not bring spare masks to school but they were often needed. Thank you for helping to keep our classroom organized and safe this year. It has made our learning atmosphere thrive.”

Funded Oct 25, 2021Thank you for giving us the option to make matching shirts for our students. We are excited to see their faces when they are all completed. Our students will enjoy having a shirt to look like their friends and feel a part of the school community. The shirts will be ready soon for us to wear as a Kindergarten team on Fridays and will give the students a reminder of our year together. Thank you for your help with this project. We would not have been able to get all of the supplies to make it happen with out your generous donations.”

Funded Oct 18, 2021These tools for our light table have made learning stations so fun. My students have recently been using the sorting tray and pattern tray during math stations. They have been using these tools to learn in a fun hands on way. They love to sort the bugs, add with the dominos, make patterns with the gems, and so much more. They look forward to being at this station and work hard while they are there. Your donation of materials, organization trays, and sensory tubs have made this a favorite part of our room. Thank you for making this dream a possibility and making memories for my little learners.”

Funded Oct 12, 2021Wow! Heidi Songs has made such a HUGE impact in my classroom this year. My students look forward to this time each and every day. They used these songs to help with learning their letters, sight words, numbers, and more. Many of my students have been able to make connections and learn easier through song and dance. My students have a higher letter ID this year as well as learning their sight words. I am so excited to be able to continue to use this amazing resource with my students next year. Now We Know Our ABC's
Funded Oct 21, 2021Thank you for your donation toward our alphabet books. This project allowed all of our students to get their own copy of "Now I Know My ABC's" for their book box. This book is an excellent start for beginning readers and allows them to make connections, learn their letters, and work on letter sounds. Before this project we had 6 copies in each classroom that the students had to share. These books will be used over and over for years to come so that each student will have their own special copy and can begin their reading adventure. Thank you for helping our classrooms to get this special resource and have enough for each child.”

Funded Sep 23, 2021Thank you for the generous donation to our Kindergarten classrooms. Our classes have had to switch to remote learning at 3 different times during the year. These materials have allowed us to sent home the essentials that they needed such as crayons, pencils, scissors and glue. Many families do not have these supplies at home and it would have created a challenge for our students to complete their work. The left over supplies were used in the classrooms to replenish throughout the year. Your donation made it so we did not skip a beat between in person and remote learning. Thank you for caring about our students and their success.”

Funded Oct 5, 2021WOW! This light table has been an amazing addition to our classroom. My young students love to learn and explore and the light table has allowed this to happen in a brand new way. I have many students who have stated that this is their favorite center. They use it during math with transparent pattern blocks, dominos for adding, sorting, patterns and more. We also use it with sensory bins. This table has enhanced our learning experience and will be continued to use for years to come.

Organization Station
Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you for helping to make our classroom organized and keep us healthy. These new organization carts help to keep our materials at our seats and give us less contact with others. We can easily get our writing notebook or white board without them getting mixed up or being too close to peers. Our classroom is neat and we know where everything is. In Kindergarten it is so important to have materials available so your students can independently get them out and take care of them on their own. They are learning responsibility and organization skills each and everyday. Thank you for making our classroom neat and for keeping us safe.”

Funded Aug 6, 2021This year, due to covid restrictions, we have to use desks in my classroom instead of tables. With this change I needed more space in my classroom to allow my students to move around while learning. One way to achieve this was to get a smaller easel. This easel has been a wonderful addition to my classroom. It is easy to use and move around the classroom to where ever I am teaching. This easel is dry erase and cal hold anchor chart paper. It is the perfect way to teach my students and magnetic to do letter sorts or practice numbers. I am so grateful to have an easel that is not falling apart or taking up a lot of room. Thank you so much.”

Funded Jul 28, 2021Thank you for giving my classroom water bottles for each student to use during the day. We only have water bottle refill stations so without these reusable water bottles I have many students who would be thirsty during the day or have to use cups that would result in more spills. Each student has their own water bottle to refill and use during the day. This project also helped me to have snacks in my classroom for students who did not bring anything. My students deserve to have a full stomach and be hydrated. In my area there are many families who do not send in snacks or water bottles. This project gives them their basic needs while at school.
