The exposure most of these kids have had to art has been digital or 2 dimensional and I have a passion to enhance that. I am aiming to bring excellence into their lives through amazing art projects and access to the right tools. Having taught at both a high income and low income school I see first hand the opportunities that are be missed/not afforded with low income schools and I am inspired to close that gap and bring in the most that I can. Reuse and recycle projects. Access to sculpting with clay. Fusing, and slumping glass changes the way kids think. Wood sculptures, paint, Papier-mch, these kids should get to do it. A room with the right supplies, adaptive art tools and filled with living plants, this is the classroom I'm building in an effort to lay the best foundation in the lives of my students. And with your help, I can do it!
