Pedaling Towards a More Harmonious Classroom
Funded Aug 21, 2019Wow. Thank you. Truly. This project was funded in record time and I am extremely grateful and know my students will be too. I can’t wait to use these peddlers in my classroom and work with my students to help them have an easier time focusing in the classroom. I am always impressed by the generosity of others in these situations, as you understand the importance of these projects, even if you’ll never directly see the impact of what you’re giving to. I can’t wait to share the photos of how these materials are used in our classroom!
Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Dietzman
Connect Us to the World!
Funded Jul 8, 2016Dear wonderful donors,
I had looked into document cameras for years, but never thought it would be within the realm of possibility due to their excessive cost. After talking with colleagues on how I could get extra supplies that would normally be inaccessible, and hearing about DonorsChoose, I realized that I could get what I wanted for my classroom.
I thought I would be able to use the document camera fairly frequently each week, for a few moments at a time, but I realized after starting to use it that it became central to my teaching time. It has sped up instruction time, leaving more time for interaction with my students and ensuring they understand material we cover in class through working one-on-one with my students.
I haven't yet been able to use the document camera to the full potential of what I would like to use it, but I have started researching many different ways of using it, and I am extremely excited at the possibilities that this piece of technology. This is made even more profound by seeing how much more engaged in the lessons my students are when I use the camera. By them seeing what I'm doing on a real piece of paper, like they use, it leaves little excuse for them not to be following along, since we are all doing the work together.
At this point, I really don't know how I survived without this awesome addition to my classroom!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Dietzman
