Owl Investigation!
Funded Oct 26, 2015Thank you so much for helping me get these materials for my students...we were able to do the investigation and the kids loved every minute of it!
I've been building up this project since it was funded. We did several mini lessons that led us up to the investigation and the lab was a huge success! On day 1 of the investigation, we watched a video of what an owl pellet actually was, and then we grabbed our gear and got to investigating! On day 2 of the lab, we put our bones together and taped them to construction paper and labeled them. You could identify several times of rodents that the owl had eaten and it was neat to see each of the "leftovers!"
Without your help, my kids wouldn't have been able to do this. Thanks so much for contributing to their education!”

Wonder Reading Project!
Funded Dec 31, 2015Not only am I super excited about this set of novels, but my students are, too! We are so grateful that you helped contribute to our classroom.
The novel Wonder will help my students to gain the necessary grade level reading skills and help them acquire a love for reading! This literacy unit will allow the students to read to self, peer read,, and participate in read alouds. We will also practice digging into the text to find evidence to support comprehension of the story. This book will also allow us to recognize that all people are different and to be more accepting of our differences. Wonder will also provide an opportunity to discuss bullying and the effects it has on all people.
Once again, I can't thank you enough!”

Owl Investigation
Funded Dec 20, 2013My students were so excited when we finally were able to dive into the Owl Investigation Kit! They had never seen anything like that before! They were excited, surprised, and some, a little grossed out!
We used the resources towards our Science Frameworks. We incorporated food chains, scientific inquiry, science tools, lab, and investigation all into one activity!
This project made my students excited to learn and excited to do Science. Most academics focus on Math and Literacy. This allowed the students to expand their education elsewhere.
Thank you for being a part of my students education!”
With gratitude,
