  • Calm Spaces: Sensory Tents for Student Well-Being

    Funded Feb 11, 2025

Thank you so much for contributing to our project. These calm spaces will ensure our sensory sensitive students have a calm space to regulate and regroup. By providing these spaces we are providing children with calm and inviting areas. Your contribution means the world to us. Thank you for your support and thoughtfulness.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Naomi Solis

  • Sound OFF for Success!

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

Thanks to your generous donations we have been able to provide some much needed sensory relief for students. The students you have helped do not have families that can afford multiple sets of headphones, and your donation has ensured they can be provided for here at school. The students I work with and my role are not typical students. As a counselor i service the most at risk, and the most in need. I cannot begin to tell you how moved I was to have this project funded so quickly. Thank you for being compassionate and helping my students. It has made a difference you truly can see.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Naomi Solis

  • Help Give Students a Voice When They Need Help.

    Funded Oct 12, 2023

Your donations have given students a way to ask for help. They are using the counselor boxes, and we have seen an increase in student self referrals. The timers have helped our youngest students understand transitions and boundaries.

Thank you so much for your support. Due to the nature of counseling, most change and impact happens out of the spotlight. Your donation has made reaching students easier and has given them yet another tool to address their mental wellness. We are so grateful!

    Thank you,

    Mrs. Solis”

  • Breaking News: Kindergarten Class Finds Empty Library!

    Funded Sep 19, 2012

Your donation has impacted many students this year. We faced a library of 40 books and with your support we were able to purchase 70 books appropriate for us. I would like to thank you for caring, but more for contributing. I am a strong believer in early childhood literacy, and these books have been in many hands this semester. They have brought families together and encouraged students through successful, leveled use. As an update on our progress, I am pleased to inform you that the students you donated to are progressing, and many students are on grade level; partly due to the resources you helped purchase. Thank you again for your contributions.”

  • Write the Right Way!

    Funded Apr 25, 2012

Thank you for providing funding for "write the right way". The materials we were able to attain were truly a blessing. The students enjoyed decorating their writing journals and the high write paper made writing tear free for students struggling to express themselves on paper. It is because of donations from supporters like you that teachers are able to see the simplest of wishes come true. The materials will also help countless students wanting to express themselves through writing. Thank you for your support and involvement in our classroom.

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Naomi Solis

Most teachers don't go into teaching for the pay; we go into teaching to enrich the lives of students who are both eager to learn or face challenges with learning. Regardless, as an educator I am responsible for instilling in students a love for learning. My students are intelligent and creative and always eager to experience new things. They are loving, engaged in instruction, and most often in need of materials most schools carry inventory on. With the budget cuts affecting Texas schools, and the reality facing our parents, the truth is we are in need of people like you who support teachers through generous donations. My class and I thank you ahead of time for providing us with the tools we need to be successful, life-long learners.
