  • Kindness Counts

    Funded Nov 4, 2023

Thank you for your generous gift to our classroom! Service Stars is exactly what you were to us! The shirts came just in time for kindness week! I wish you could have seen the looks on these students faces..... the pictures absolutely do not do them justice.

The shirts that we requested Throw Kindness Around Like Confetti - Be Kind shirt was not available so instead we received In a World Where You Can be Anything BE KIND.

Wearing these shirt once a week reminds us to be nice to each other. When we see a classmate having a rough time, being bullied or not happy, we stick up for them and come to their rescue.

In addition, we will wear these t-shirts to remind ourselves we are a community while we do services learning activities to help our classmates and other classrooms in our school community. Examples picking up trash around the school, putting aluminum cans/ plastic bottles in recycling bins and reminding our families to do the same.

Most of my students can not afford to purchase these school kindness t-shirt as families are struggling to pay rent, electricity and put food on the table. We are very grateful.”
