    Our school promotes reading to celebrate diversity and social success. Students are motivated to become lifelong achievers and make an impact in their community. With your support, we have successfully raised $517 for the second graders of Brooklyn with The Reading Train. Our classroom library was empty until your books were received. My students have been exposed to the Junie B.'s of the fictional world. Their curiosity has been awakened by the adventures of A to Z Mysteries.

    We truly believe that our project was successfully completed with your continuous support. I cannot find the words to describe the affect these books will have on my students. These books will touch the lives of my children in ways that you may never know. I have already told my second graders about the kindness you have shown them.

As a school, we are trying to promote curiosity and social acceptance in our classrooms. The idea for this project came about after my students huddled together during recess to discuss what we were reading about in "Charlotte's Web." They could not contain their excitement as they spoke about what they learned about the characters and what they thought was going to happen next. We want our students to be excited about what they are reading and engage their peers in "The Reading Train."
