I have a vision for my classroom. The seats available to students will be comfortable, durable, engaging and appropriate in order to facilitate learning all day. Crates: I will transform them in to seats with wood and vinyl table clothes. These can/will be used for storage and durable seating year after year. Stools: These will be be used at the Guided Reading table. Wiggle/balance pads: I plan to use these in two ways. First, students can use them on carpet or on the crate seats for their varying sensory needs. Second, they can be used to stand on for balance while working at a tall desk or Guided Reading table. Wiggle Stool: This will be ideal for my students who have trouble staying in one location. They can rock, wiggle, stand, lean, etc., during instruction in order to focus.
