Special Tools for Unique Growing Minds
Funded Nov 3, 2019Thanks to your donations and continued support I was able to give my students some of the tools they need to succeed! As you can witness from the photos my students were so excited and eager to receive their tools for learning.
Our Word Work stations are even more engaging now that we have new ways to learn letters with the alphabet key locks. One of my students who has limited fine motor skills and often times refuses to write, loves to write her letters on the new magnetic erase boards.
The rekenreks were a great hit with my first graders as they begin to represent algebraic equations using a variety of tools.”

Tools For Success, Stools To Impress!
Funded Jul 13, 2019Thank you all so much for your generous donations! My students this year were so excited entering their classroom and continue to be excited in their flexible learning environment!
The flex comfy stools have been a great hit by all who enter our classroom! My students say everyday they wish they had one of "these" at home.
Our classroom library has never looked more beautiful! The bins have helped keep our classroom library organized and accessible to all students! Thanks to your donations I was able to add more books to my library that were culturally relevant! My students love read alouds and ever more when they can relate to the characters depicted in their books. Once again thank you, I can't wait to see what this year holds!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Ortiz

Funded Jul 8, 2017I want to take this time to thank you for all of your donations. Our classroom has been a hit. We have received visits from other teachers and principals to see exactly how everything works. People are amazed at the level of independence and flexibility my students have. We have been featured in union news and have been recognized has a pilot classroom.
My students' ability to learn in an environment that is appropriate for there needs has made such an impact in their emotional and social development. Students are learning in a 21 century classroom with all the choice they need to ensure their physical needs are met.”

Mrs. Ortiz
