My students are so eager to learn and having a common space for students to share their work, thinking and contributions to our classroom community is so important to their growth. Many of my students are learning English, and need a safe communal space to practice their new language skills. A classroom carpet is the focal point of any classroom, where students and the teacher all sit together to problem solve and grow as a community. My students will benefit from having this space in their room and I am sure our classroom community will be stronger as a result.
