Because my students with Autism struggle with language, behaviors, social interactions, and self help skills, independently utilizing the listening center will help address many of their needs and IEP goals. The Listening Center will do triple duty in our class as an independent work station, a small group language activity, and as a calm down choice for students who are learning to regulate their emotions and behaviors. I want my students to progress, and succeed, and technology is an integral way for them to access curriculum. Having a listening center in our class will help my students by giving them greater access to new language and social opportunities at school, and in their lives!
