NEON Arts Festival 2024
Funded Sep 16, 2024Thank you so much for your generosity! We had an extremely successful workshop due to your donations! The students had a lot of fun and learned how to successfully manage a workshop at their local arts festival. They enjoyed the event so much they went back to the NEON district for the holiday market and were able to utilize the leftover supplies to do some additional fundraising this past December.
We look forward to sharing more projects like these in the future and continuing our creative journey into 2025! Until then, please give us a follow on the social media platform Instagram, by finding us by the handle: @MauryPhotoClub to see what we are up to!
Thanks again and be sure to stay tuned for more... 🙂”

Polaroid "Lift" Public Workshop
Funded Aug 14, 2024On behalf of the Photography Club at Maury High School, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your generous support of our "Polaroid Lift" photography workshop at the NEON Arts Festival. Your contribution helped bring this unique, hands-on experience to life for festival-goers and aspiring photographers in our community.
Thanks to your donation, participants were able to explore their creativity with Polaroid cameras, capturing moments that will live on in both the physical photographs and in their memories. Your support truly made a difference in enriching this year's NEON Fest and providing a platform for artists to learn, experiment, and express themselves.
We are excited to see how this workshop will inspire even more artistic expression and community engagement in the years to come. Your kindness helps ensure that our arts festival continues to grow and provide opportunities for everyone to connect with the arts in meaningful ways.
Once again, thank you for being an integral part of NEON Fest. We look forward to growing our educational program!”

This classroom project was brought to life by The Gates Foundation and 9 other donors.January Photo Jam
Funded Jan 13, 2023Thank you so much for contributing to our classroom! We are a newer program in the fine arts department here at Lake Taylor High School (LTHS), and we are just getting started. Many of our students do not have access to the equipment in our classroom at home therefore this year has been a valuable learning experience for them.
Our LTHS photography students are currently learning to edit photos in their new computer lab and the donation of ink has been invaluable to us in our artmaking and the ability to create 'prints' of their hard work. Seeing your completed work on display is very gratifying and a great way to motivate others to keep creating.
One student Aaliyah was very inspired to create a personalized care package for another departing teacher here at Lake Taylor, including a portrait she took herself. It is very important for students to have these experiences and let inspiration guide them.
Next, we are looking forward to displaying our final photo essay projects and displaying them around the school for the entire student body to enjoy. Thank you again for your donation, please know that your generosity will continue to impact our students into the next school year.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Loveless-McKinnis
