The larger microscope will allow students to explore our cells and small particles that make up the world around us to make connections to self, plants, and animals. We would see cells that make up people, animal, and plants for the class to better understand the building blocks of the world around us. This would allow for students to have hands-on experience to explore this small version of our world. In addition, we could project any items onto the board for a whole-group discussion or fishbowl for comparison. This allows our small school access to items not previously able in the past. We would work to connect this smaller cell-world to our real-world. I want to take my students out of the classroom to explore the ecosystem around us and how it looks in a real-world setting. The education curriculum is working toward students finding the answers AND asking the questions. With this set of microscopes students will be able to work in small groups to see life in action on a microscopic scale. We will be able to make connections to previously learned examples AND explore new questions that students can lead.
