  • Positive Behavioral Support for Pride Month

    Funded Jun 8, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation and support positive behavioral support during Pride month. The Gender and Sexuality Alliance club at my former school was very excited to provide students with rewards and prizes that support inclusion of LGBTQ+ themes in their school culture. Students from the GSA club participated in the positive behavioral support program and encouraged inclusion and how to be an ally through this process. They were proud to sport their gear as well and to encourage and foster a safe and inviting community for all students.

    Thank you!”

  • Space Re-Design for Special Education Students

    Funded May 26, 2023

Thank you so very much for your donation. My high school English Language Arts and Literacy classroom is very small. This can be quite stressful for students when accessing materials. Many students are also neuro divergent and find clutter to be stressful in ways that neuro typical students do not. Therefore, the shelving that your donation paid for really supported the organization of my small classroom. Students can access their text books and their lesson materials easily through the routine that the shelving helps supports.”

  • Tiny Classroom Help!

    Funded Sep 18, 2023

Your donation has helped students with disabilities feel more focused and and organized in the classroom. Students who are neuro divergent find clutter more stressful than students who are neuro typical. Therefore, the shelving purchased with your thoughtful and kind donation has helped alleviate that sense of feeling overwhelmed for many students. You donation have also supported students in identifying where their materials are for success in class, including their workbooks and writing and reading materials.

    Thank you!”

Students we so happy to receive new markers and charts. They used these tools in small groups to complete projects. My students love to read, but our classroom library is outdated. The students will use these books for independent reading time during the school day. Students will, after a year and half in a virtual setting, be able to have access to a tangible library in the classroom filled with new, contemporary, and diverse books! Students will be able to choose books that match their interests and reading levels. Every Friday will be dedicated to a brief mini lesson focused on the standards, followed by independent reading time supported with small group instruction and reading conferences. The goal is to foster a culture of a reading and help raise students' independent reading levels. I have selected a range of books on different reading levels that will support all readers in my classroom.
