We're Drumming Up More Music!
Funded Apr 2, 2024Your donations have allowed my students to obtain brand new drums for learning as a whole class and in small drumming circles. Students have the chance to work independently, in small groups and in whole class instruction with these brand new amazing drums!
Students have been able to practice rhythms, drumming techniques and have been able to learn to play as an ensemble at young ages. They have learned how to cooperate and proper listening techniques in music class so they can stay together and keep a steady beat.
When the students first found out that we were funded, their excitement was incredible and they couldn't believe they would now have access to brand new materials and resources to use all year long and in the future. When I opened the boxes with the new drums their faces lit up like it was Christmas morning!!!

I have had the chance to laminate the manipulatives for prolonged use in my class and have been given the opportunity to purchase many resources for them on Teachers Pay Teachers with the gift card you so generously donated to.

Funded Feb 7, 2024Having this new iPad in my classroom has been a game changer! Students are able to work in small groups on their music composing projects and are able to record and save their work through video, audio and written files with tremendous ease!
Students are so excited to come to class and begin using the new technology. It is easy to use in rotation when in small group rotation and students.
The ease of the iPad is accessible to students of all ages and abilities!

Funded Oct 26, 2022Through your incredibly generous donations, my students now have access to an amazing learning tool with the hand bells. We have begun to use them during class lessons which as given the students ownership and responsibility for taking care of instruments, has taught them to be more accurate rhythm readers and has begun to expose them to the world of solfege which will lead to better note reading.
The first day I passed out the hand bells the excitement on the kids faces replicated Christmas morning excitement!
We will continue to learn and grow as musicians with the use of these instruments thanks to you. I hope you'll consider to continue to fund schools like mine and hope you'll continue to support my projects in the future!”

Save Our Ukuleles from Total Destruction!
Funded Dec 23, 2017When we found out that our project was funded, we were so beyond excited! The kids were thrilled that we would now be able to take care of our ukuleles with new strings, proper ukulele picks and help save our fingers from extra calluses with the finger protectors! The brand new batteries have been a saving grace when our tuners old batteries die- we no longer have to wait for new batteries to come in with our extra supply.
The students were very happy when the materials came in and couldn't wait to get their hands on the materials and begin! Since we have received them, students are finding it much easier to play chords and learn new chords with the finger protectors. I was able to replace a couple broken strings so that students didn't have to share ukuleles that had missing strings. The felt ukulele picks have also been essential in the success of learning proper strumming techniques as it makes it more feasible for students to accurately play the strum patterns. These materials have truly helped my students to succeed further than they thought they ever would.
Additionally, the ukulele chord chart has been a fantastic reference point for students who need reinforcement. We plan to continue to utilize all resources in our continued ukulele studies. We hope the batteries will continue to last so we can accurately tune our ukuleles each day before learning. We truly cannot thank you enough for your generosity in supplying my students with these essential materials. Their musical success is becoming quite evident and with out these materials to help them, their performances will be more and more successful. The world needs more wonderful and caring people like you!”

BIND-er Us Together in Music!
Funded May 23, 2017When the boxes initially arrived in my class room, the students were instantly excited stating things like "we got the binders?!" or "YES! The binders are here!" which gave me a tremendous sense of happiness too! Students quickly helped to unpack each of the many boxes, while I printed out labels for numbering them. Each student was more than eager to help get the binders organized and "up and running" so they could start to use them in class.
Now, we have music in them and even enough space to keep the pencils and highlighters we received as well. Students are beginning to understand and display proper singing posture techniques and are holding the music proudly in front of them instead of on their laps. There really is a big sense of pride shown on their faces which will translate into their singing.
With care and respect for the materials, these binders will continue to help us grow and learn as a successful chorus. Rehearsals will run smoother since all materials are in one place and each student has their own supplies. I cannot begin to thank you enough for your generosity in helping fund my project. My students thank you as well. Without wonderful people like you, my students wouldn't have access to new materials and opportunities like they do through your generosity.”

Funded Mar 9, 2016Upon receipt of our new ipads, the incredible amount of positive behavior has greatly increased. Students now strive harder to behave correctly and to make smart choices in order to earn the privilege of using the iPads.
Through these iPads, the students will be able to practice music theory, note recognition, pitch matching, even read and learn about different composers or genres of music. The students have been more excited to use the various applications and use the iPads to enhance their music education. At times, they are almost begging to use them!
Through your generous donations, my students now are able to keep differentiate their learning styles and go at their own pace. Several applications have been loaded on to the iPads that help them to utilize prior knowledge and expand their new knowledge. All ages from kindergarten through 8th grade look forward to using the new technology tools Every time they have music class.
In future donors choose projects, I will strive to obtain more iPads as well as more protectors and cares so that the technology can be used and kept in excellent condition for years to come. My students and I cannot thank you enough for your generous donations to our program.”

Protect the iPads Now!
Funded Mar 9, 2016Upon receipt of the iPad screen protectors, charging cables, stylus pens and new iPad mini cases, My students immediately took ownership over the materials. They began to view them as their own personal belongings and were extremely protective of the materials! When the boxes arrived, the excitement on the students faces was indescribable. They felt as if these boxes were sent specifically for them as individuals and every class that I showed the new materials to had the same reactions.
Through these protectors, charging cables, charging station, new cases and stylus pens, the students have been more excited to use the various applications and use the iPads to enhance their music education. At times, they are almost begging to use them!

Funded Mar 16, 2015Through your generosity, my students have gained materials that will benefit them tremendously. When the box was delivered to my classroom, the students were ecstatic! It was like Christmas morning! They could not wait to see what was inside and all were saying "Miss Chiarelli- what is it?! Did someone donate?!" When I opened it up to find the Luigi's Baton & The Orchestra Family Reunion Classroom Kit, the Luigi's Listening Lab - Multimedia Music History for the Classroom Book/CD-ROM and the Music Moves Me - Active Listening Strategies for the Classroom Book/CD, the students could not wait for me to show them. Through the use of these resources I can maintain whole class engagement for the entire music period.”
