While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Funded Dec 3, 2019Thank you so much for your donations to my project. We were able to use your purchased to fix many different instruments in our classroom.
Broken instruments happen! I wanted to make sure my students learn that even though instruments can break and are breakable, there are resources to fix them. This can help them understand how important it is to take care of these instruments so we are able to keep playing. Understanding that part of playing an instrument is instrument care. These students were able to see this part of being a musician.”

Funded Nov 19, 2019Thank you so much for the donation to the get us guitars in our classroom! Our students are so happy to have their own guitar and not have to share. Guitars are used in every class and seeing the glowing of the students when they get a guitar is a look that a picture could not even capture. You have given us guitars that students are able to now practice rhythms, chords, harmony, and able to continue to practice their musicianship. You have truly made an impact in our school by giving any size donation to our students! Thank you”

Help Get Our Noses Stuck in a Book!
Funded Nov 26, 2019Thank you so much for your donations towards books for our classroom. These books give our students a way to see how much has impacted others. While students are learning about a new music artist, they are relating to the books we have read in music! Watching them make this connection is seeing your impact on their life. Students are begging for more reading and are continuing to make requests for more and different books to add to our library. Without your donation, this would not be possible. Thank you!”

Its All About That Bass!
Funded Sep 14, 2019Thank you so much for choosing to donate to my project. These electric basses have allowed my students to have a deeper appreciation for different parts of the band. When I first asked them what a bass was they responded with the clef or even the orchestra string instrument. They had no idea there was a bass guitar and the sound it would produce. At first, students were hesitant to pick this instrument when we broke out into band practice because of the unknown. However, the faces of pure excitement when my young musicians finally start understanding and playing along quickly changes their mind. These basses have started an excitement in my classroom for ensemble practice to come together. They are more eager to add more parts to our songs and practice to pick their own music. This is not possible without your support.
Thank you again.

Imagine now, packages flowing in filled with colors to make this deary picture filled with all the colors of the rainbow. Something as simple as these posters have filled our classroom with positive messages and information with colorful pictures. Thanks to your donations, our classroom has pictures of valuable information all over. My students have been looking around the room for answers to questions and becoming self-directed learners. The manipulative's have made centers easy prep and the students keep begging for more! These feelings could not have been possible without your support!”

Funded Jul 30, 2017I can not thank you enough for "Projecting your Love for Music on Us!" There are so many projects out there, but you picked us and we are so lucky! Music programs are funded usually by parent support, and since my students are in a very low-income neighbor, that is not always easy!
When the students saw the projector on the board for the first time, they were so excited. Their eyes lit up even more when I set up the document camera for the students to see my hands while I played the piano. This alleviated so many questions, and my students became problem solvers. Instead of some students being lost and struggling, they were able to find themselves. Having the cart to store all this equipment makes taking care of everything easy! Everything in this project has simplified the way our classroom runs and has become a positive learning space We are truly blessed to have donors like you looking out for us and taking care of us! Thank you!

Funded Mar 30, 2017My students were overwhelmed with the excitement of new classroom instruments and the games. They were more excited when some of the instruments they have used in community music programs and they were so excited to tell their classmates about them. You can see in the photos how the students were overjoyed when I told the students we could open a present in music class. Every class, they ask are we going to use the instruments today, and when I say yes, they are thrilled. The game NoteKnacks has been used during our centers, and everybody always asks to start at that center!
Our next project on donors choose is Project your Love for Music on Us! We would love to have the opportunity for more technology like projectors and document cameras, so we are able to use more resources the Internet has for us.

Funded Dec 16, 2016Thank you so much for your generous gift! These gifts have helped me differentiate my instruction by using technology, hands on and different music teaching methods.
Music and Piano Ace have been huge engagements with my students. They love when I say we will be using them in the lesson. They love taking turns, showing their answers to the class and using the baton. I make it a special treat when a student who is shy comes up to use the light up baton.
With the GamePlan curriculum, my engagement went up in my classes. They love the lessons and they are enjoying the hands-on activities. My favorite day was when my student who is a select mute, started to participate in class! I felt overwhelmed with happiness! I am so blessed to have donors like you in my life. Thank you for caring about my students as much as I do!

Morris Musicians Loving Literacy!
Funded Sep 4, 2016Thank you so much for you donations!! Improving literacy and doing this through music has been an amazing experience for these kids! These materials provide these students with music and literacy. My books are up in the classroom all year long and students can read them as part of our centers. My students love reading the stories and putting music to it.
The dry erase boards and the dry erase paper holders have given my students the ability to write their answers on non- paper form. This helps by saving supplies such as paper. Also, keeps my music longer because of how its protected. I am thankful to have these resource.
Finally the posters have created more visuals for learning. Students are able to look up and find genres around the room.

Funded Aug 28, 2016I can not thank you enough for your generous support in my classroom. Your support and love has been felt ever since day of the school.
My students have been using these boomwhackers at least once a week in their lessons and on days we do not use them, they beg for them to come out. Students have been able to work independently with these boomwhackers creating a student led music classroom. When my students opened the boomwhacker box, I do not know who screamed louder, me or the students. They were eager to use them and we did the very first day..
In this season of giving, I am so thankful for you!
