In my classroom, I always seek out to build a culture that champions a growth mindset, academic rigor and equity among all students. My students are amazing, bringing such fun and energetic personalities into the classroom. We have moments of productive struggle and engage in fun activities. Edward Harris Jr. Middle School is a Title 1 school and my students come from many different socio-economic backgrounds. It's a beautiful thing to see so many different faces when I go to work everyday. As much as my students learn from me, I am learning about their cultures and backgrounds every day.
