  • Cleaned and Organized

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

We have used the wipes to keep the classroom environment clean. We use them daily to clean students and teacher tables. The paper towels are also used to keep messes away. They are used to clean off tables and dry hands. The facial tissues are a tremendous help through the winter months. Kids go through boxes like potato chips. There are never enough for them to use and this supply will get us through the rest of the school year. The ziplock bags are used to help separate math materials. They're very useful to help organize small group activities.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Z.

  • Germs, Germs, Go Away!

    Funded Jan 6, 2021

These cleaning materials will help greatly to keep my classroom safe and clean. The wipes are used daily on the tables and high touch areas. The gentle soaps and cleaners help make the classroom smell warm and inviting, while still keeping everything germ free. The erasers will help with mistakes on their papers. There were also organizational tools in this project to help with keeping the classroom look neat and uncluttered. I can't even begin to express my gratitude to the donors who want to support our classrooms: thank you, thank you, thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Z.

  • Playing to Learn

    Funded Feb 10, 2020

My students are enjoying the games, magnets tiles, and legos during their powerful celebrations. They're having an amazing time playing with each other. The last time they played, they used their imaginations to create many spectacular things. It was also great to see them play in an unstructured activity. It really allowed them to be kids. It also helped them work together and take turns in an authentic way.

When they first saw the new activities, they were so excited. During powerful celebrations, these are the games they gravitate towards. My students are so glad we have these new additions in the classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Z.

  • A Clean Sense of Mind

    Funded Aug 23, 2019

My room has been germ free and clean thanks to your generous donation. It has been amazing to be able to clean the tables using the paper towels and not have to worry about running out. They can use the facial tissues with abandon. I still teach them to use one at a time, but there's no fear on my end that we'll be out by the end of the month. Flu season is about to start and this supply will definitely last us through the winter.

Students use the nice pencils in math and other projects. They're sturdy and write well. They also use the erasers for any and all mistakes.

Knowing that they're being cared for in these simply ways makes starting the year so much better!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Z.

  • A Clean Start to the New School Year!

    Funded Jul 12, 2018

My classroom is clean and spotless thanks to your generous donations. The cleaning supplies (paper towels, cleaning spray, soap) has kept the tables clean. The hand sanitizer and tissues help keep students germ free. The disinfectant spray and Clorox whips help with that. The air freshener helps to mask any smells coming from growing and playful bodies.

Students walk into the room and remark at how clean and neat everything is. It helps them be prepared for learning when they see a clean and clutter free room.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Z.

  • Comics are Books Too!

    Funded Dec 5, 2017

Thank you so much for your generous donation to this project. This has been a great addition to the classroom library. Many of my students were interested in borrowing the books from the set. They ask to take it down to lunch and to recess so they can read it and discuss the stories with their friends. During any free time, I always have a few students take these out to read. They love it more than I would've imagined! These books have appealed to both boys and girls, as well as high and low readers of the classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Z.

My students have expressed a high interest in the Naruto series, especially the lower level readers. I want to have some books in my library that can match those interests. The hope is to get them interested in books in general and it has to start with something they're excited about. Even though this is a comic book series, they can still use it to apply many literacy skills, like character development, problem, solution, and conflict. It may also encourage the low level readers to be more interested in phonics instruction so they can work hard to decode these books.
